I show up with my highest self in every situation of my life purposefully.

I am purposeful in showing up in my life.  They say showing up is 90% of the test, but if I don’t show up with purpose…showing up is worthless. I don’t have to have it all planned out, I only have to be willing to show up and give my best self to the moment.  There is no tomorrow and I will not live my life with this thought stuck in my heart of, “there’s always tomorrow.” I will let my heart sing its most natural song as it says, “I am meant to make this moment my best one.”

For I don’t live in the past or the future, I live in the ever present now. I will learn from the past, I will prepare for my future, but that can only occur when I’m showing up in this specific moment.  In every step it will feel different, even if I have placed my foot in that exact spot before, as I am destroying the former self and growing into the new me with each step.  I am growing with new elevating thoughts. I am growing by allowing my authentic self out for the world to see. And I am showing up giving 100% of who I am purposefully, as happiness isn’t in obtaining things, but in sharing my best self with the world.

Life is exactly what I make it.

Life is a choice.  It is the constant choice to say I am here, and I’m going to continue to exist.  What if we were to say something deeper, something more meaningful such as, “I choose to create a magnificent life!”  A life that is more than merely surviving.  In each moment we are granted exactly what we ask of our lives. We attract what we are ready for. When we don’t have faith in what we ask for, then we are asking in vein.  We are determining our fate and we are blocking the awesome person we were created to be. Life gives us exactly what we ask of it. So when you ask, why not ask for more of yourself. There is no need to seek externally because God has given us the power within to be more than we ever thought we could be.  We have been given the tools to create amazing lives… by choosing to make our life exactly what we wish of it.

There is a purpose in every struggle.

No one wants to go through pain.  No one wants to look silly and make mistakes.  No one wants to struggle through life.  Being in the moment it’s easy to get caught in the pains rather than the lessons that are happening.  We are souls who come to this earth making a choice to become human.  I believe we choose to become human to feel the thrill of imperfection.  If things were perfect where would the fun be in that?  That’s why we read or watch movies with conflict.  The same goes for our lives we want challenges because not only do they make us better, but it makes our lives more exciting.  There is something exhilarating about not knowing if you can overcome a problem but going about it against all odds anyways.  There is nothing so satisfying as the feeling of victory in something that seemed impossible once.  Every struggle is a building block to a victory and a beautiful purposeful life.

I am meant for great things.

No matter how big or small our contributions may seem in life we all are meant for amazing things.  It may not seem like we are doing things on a grand scale like Ghandi, Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, or even Aerosmith, but everything you do has a purpose and it has merit.  We think to feel important we need to do things so big that people will remember us.  However, that is our ego and pride saying, “look at how good and important I am.”  As we go through an endless unfulfilling purpose of seeking to find validation outside of ourselves. 

You are meant for great things even if that is only volunteering at Children’s Hospital by taking out the garbage.  You are helping in a grander scale than you’ll ever can realize.  We all support each other and the tasks you do help to take the load off another.  Know you have a great purpose, and know that every task whether big or small has magnificent importance on a global scale.  You are helping mankind move forward; you are carrying the souls of the world on your back.

I will believe in people more than they believe in themselves.

We all need someone to believe in us.  We need people in our corner whether we know it or not.  Whether that belief is expressed out loud or thought internally, people do better because of our belief in them. Create better energies and have more faith in people, and you will see a great change in the people around you. Not only did they change, but they changed because you gave them the room to change. You allowed them to grow into who they were meant to be.  The only thing you have to lose in believing more in people is the headache of trying to take everything on yourself.  We are meant to intertwine our gifts together.  Think about the last time a teacher, a coach, or a boss believed in you.  How did that feel?  Give the gift of that feeling back to those around you.

I choose to find happiness in every aspect of my life.

People tell me over and over that my main purpose is unrealistic.  That working to be happy at every moment in your life is something that’s impossible.  I am realistic that things will come our way that will shake our comfortable spots in life.  People will die, we may lose a job, we will have break ups, and disappointments will happen. 

Perfection is unrealistic because it is non-moving, it’s an idea that stays stagnant, but life… is ever moving.  My belief and truth I’ve come to know is that happiness can be sought for and found in every corner of life.  Our worst situation, is someone’s heaven.  When you live through a limited lens of what life is, you will miss out on the beauty in each moment.  Happiness is in every moment, the only question is are you going to constantly seek it, or are you going to let something else dictate the way you want to feel?  Life is meant to feel good, so why would you want to move anywhere else?  Whether you grieve one second or your whole life is all the same.  Find ways to go through the emotion, and choose to find ways to see that happiness is already there.

My life is like a manufacturing line. I’m always fine tuning it to create the life I desire.

What I put out into the world is a physical product letting the world know, this is how I craft my life. If I put crappy work into what I share with the world, then I’ll get subpar parts and outcomes. I want to create beautiful things in this world, and I am willing to pay any price in creating the best me possible.  If I have to rework or finetune anything in my life, I am willing to go to the depths of the earth to get to the core of the problem. I achieve the unbelievable because I have enthusiastic unwavering commitment towards everything I pursue.

I don’t need discipline in my life, if I have enthusiasm for what I pursue. When I take the time to learn why I’m chasing the things I desire, I get to the root of my search. By finding the enthusiasm of what makes me come alive naturally, it brings an unwavering commitment to make it mine. 

I chase things that are important, and I discard the things that no longer serve me anymore. Balance is something I express consciously.

Everything in moderation is a common phrase we hear all the time. Moderation isn’t a word that elicits passion and wanting to change.  Moderation is a word that says you can’t have all you want so restrict yourself. What we seek in our lives is balance not restriction.  When the brain hears I can’t have this, a lustful thought overcomes us saying, “I should get as much as I can because I will not get another chance,” and thus we create an endless circle of addiction on that thing we wish to avoid.  We know we want to change, but we don’t even know what’s wrong, or how we can change.  Balance is the yin and yang of our lives.  Balance says let’s find the best position in each situation to do what is best for me.  When you consciously seek to find balance in each situation, you balance yourself and you balance those around you.  Calm attracts calm, frustrated attracts frustrated… Be different, be better, be balanced.
