Welcome to the New Founders Series!  Where I interview some of the fastest growing new subscription box companies across the globe.  I want to highlight some new and exciting companies that although new, are growing fast and will share all the ways they ultimately got their subscription boxes off the ground while it is still very fresh in their mind.  

I also want to explore their pain points and what are currently the biggest obstacles they’re encountering in today’s subscription landscape.  

This is a great way to learn from entrepreneurs who are right in the thick of it right now, and learn what is working in 2020!  And on today’s New Founders Series episode, I have the privilege of talking with a founder that literally just launched one calendar year ago.  Founder of Imagine Me Stories, Keisha Ehigie!

Keisha Ehigie is a Nigerian-Jamaican mom who noticed that her young daughter was developing self-esteem issues when she couldn’t see characters that looked like her, or reflected her reality, in the story books she was reading.

She did her own research and discovered that only 1% of UK children’s books had a Black main character.  She also discovered other troubling statistics that just didn’t seem to add up in the book industry with minority ratios that she reveals in our conversation.
