Last week, we heard from the DFL candidate for the MN State Senate District 45 race.  This week, Blois speaks with GOP nominee Kathleen Fowke about the issues and why she believes she can the election.  Plus, our host offers his thoughts on the latest MinnPost poll.

While many races have gained more attention during this election cycle, perhaps the most important one to Minnesota is the campaign for the vacated seat in District 45 of the State Senate.  Blois talks DFL nominee (and former State Senator) Ann Johnson Stewart about her stances on the issues.

On the State Fair Porch, Blois looks at the past and gazes into the near future.  Along with his take on Gov. Walz visiting the Fair, he welcomes the following guests:

Today we started things off with John McCormick, he is a national political reporter for the Wall Street Journal who lives in Chicago. He joins to talk Tim Walz becoming nationally known, Israel-Hamas ceasefire, Kamala Harris and much more as this next week approaches! Then we jump to the Star Tribune -there are changes coming to the Star Tribune and it brings a more local, personal touch to the Star Tribune now being renamed the ‘Minnesota Star Tribune’ - Steve Grove joined us to talk about some of the new looks and new additions to the newspaper and more digital evolutions as well and bringing the more enjoyable pieces to the media! Finally we chat briefly with Susie Jones before she heads to Chicago for the DNC!

On this special edition of the program, Blois moderates a debate between GOP Senatorial candidates Royce White and Joe Fraser.  It will be one of the final opportunities to hear from the two men who hope to win Tuesday's primary and potentially unseat Sen. Amy Klobuchar in November.

This week, Blois looks into several topics that concern this year's election cycle.  He digs into the rapid stature rise of MN Gov. Tim Walz, along with the Primary races to watch out for on August 13th.  MN Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen joins the show to preview the annual Farmfest event set to take place this coming week.
