Merry Christmas. It's the offseason, so we discuss some of the news that's broken since the NASCAR season ended, and we each make five wishes for the 2023 season.

The 2022 NASCAR season is over, and we crowned three champions at Phoenix Raceway over the weekend. We discuss it all, including Joey Logano's second Cup Series Championship, Ty Gibbs winning his first Xfinity Series title and Zane Smith putting his name on the final Camping World Truck Series trophy. Oh boy, Ross Chastain pulled the move of the year Sunday at Martinsville Speedway to advance to the Final Four in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. We have a long discussion about the move and whether NASCAR should outlaw it. We also discuss Christopher Bell's second walk-off win to advance, Ty Gibbs' bonehead move in the Xfinity Series race where he wrecked his teammate Brandon Jones out of a championship shot. After being the favorite the last few years, Kyle Larson finally sealed the deal at Homestead-Miami Speedway Sunday, winning both stages and the race and locking his team into the final four in the standings (but not the driver). Noah Gragson had a similar day Saturday in the Xfinity Series and Ty Majeski got his second win in this round as he prepares to race for the Truck Series title in a couple of weeks. Talladega was wild this week, but only because it wasn't wild. While there was no Big One on Sunday, there was plenty of action, which ended with a last-second pass by Chase Elliott to become the first driver to advance to the next round of the playoffs with a win this season.
