Joel’s primary focus is on detailing the Day of the Lord – a term that speaks to both positive and negative ways God intervenes in human history to bring about His desired end. Negatively, it addresses God’s judgment against Judah and the other nations. Positively, it looks to God’s work of restoration and salvation.
