Today Roberto is joined all the way from Germany by Retail Business Coach, Alvin Narsey!
Alvin trained as a pharmacist in Melbourne, Australia. He acquired his first business as a partnership shortly after graduation - over the course of building that business he realised that as a clinician, none of the training touched on how to actually run a business.
He went on an intense learning mission ultimately resulting in him being able to sell his businesses and travel the world, helping other retail business owners.
Alvin shares so many top tips for those either embarking or already on their business journey... including time mastery and the importance of vision and goals.
Enjoy!

Get ready because you are in for a real treat especially if, like me, you love a straight talker!
Zamiha Desai is a very special lady: 6 years ago she was working at the Head Office of our best known national retailers living a somewhat ordinary life. Following some changes in management structure and a programme of redundancies, she dreaded going to work. That same year having found a sari pleater who she though was amazing and wanted to share with her friends, she started a Facebook group called RecommendAsian.
The group started with 219 of her friends and the intention to help others - it rapidly grew to over 70,000 members… she then founded another group called Professional Asian which grew just as quickly.
Zamiha and I talked about so many things outside of her story including:
- Self Care
- Social Media
- Parenting Pressures in the 21st Century
- Growing up as a British Asian & cultural identity
- The challenges faced by women in the professional & domestic space
- Burnout and getting help when you need it
Enjoy!

We are kicking off Season 5 with a special two part episode!
Recorded at Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, London, Roberto got together with husband and wife team Bruce and Paramjit, co-creators of The Crazy Gin Co!
This amazing couple share their story and how a disappointing chicken tikka takeaway inspired them to take the Indian - British fusion of their own lives and distill it into a gin.
You want an entrepreneur story full of ups and down and lessons learned along the way? You've got it... in Part One we learn how the Crazy Singh & the Crazy Kaur took an idea and turned it into a brand that would eventually be sold nationally in one of our most famous retail stores.
Enjoy!

We made it to Episode 40! Roberto is joined by entrepreneur Atish Parmar.
Atish is CEO of Social Media Marketing agency Metric Connect, Founder of Cavendish & London Property Group and host of The Social Connection Podcast.
Roberto and Atish swap stories about their paths to being business owners, and Atish candidly explains how he turned early setbacks into success.
Add a dash of tailoring talk, the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people, social media marketing tips and why being a university drop out doesn’t mean the end of the world… this episode is a wonderful conversation about two new friends discovering the parallels in their journeys to date.

It’s Episode 39 and a very tailoring focused episode (at last you cry!) as Roberto is joined by client Richard Gore all the way from Cardiff in Wales to talk about his journey into custom tailoring.
Roberto takes Richard back to his childhood inspirations when it came to clothes, his family influences and the pop culture icons that sparked his passion for dressing well.
Richard explains how he discovered and chose Roberto to be his tailor, documenting those first experiences of trying on his first bespoke suit, how it made him feel and how his custom clothes have impacted his confidence, attitude and life in general.
Roberto also gets Richard talking about his days as a local superstar DJ hero!
