165: PUBG, Fortnite, And God Of War

Never a dull moment as we bring two guests to the podcast this week. Kharl and returning guest Pete come on to talk about the latest God of War release. Both have gotten deep in the game and went so far as to pick up a PS4 just to play it. Now, that's some dedication. After that, some Witcher 3 thoughts from Kharl during his first playthough. It makes for some interesting discussions. Then Pete lets us in about some PUBG, along with a bit of Fortnite talk.

160: Far Cry 5, Sea Of Thieves, And Pre-PAX East 2018

We really get down to the basics this week with the crew talking about the newly released Far Cry 5, and the Sea of Thieves. The devil is in the details and the boys get straight to the point talking about what make these games work and what they like about them the most. There is no denying both of these games are beautiful, but there are issues with each that keep them from being the games they want them to be. So, be sure to listen to what they have to say!

Also, this week (April 6th) we'll be at PAX East in Boston, so send in what you want us to check out and talk about! It's bound to be a fun time, and we know there are plenty of great games to be found, so LET US KNOW!! Also, be on the look out for interviews with developers and of course, we'll be recording the podcast that Saturday LIVE at TWITCH.TV/PXLPTS, where you can catch all our HOT TAKES the day after the show. Don't miss out!

159: Sea Of Thieves, SuperHot, and The Curse of the Pharaohs

Another week, another Tangent podcast. Seems like we're struggling to keep the crew here, with Gary being out again. Maybe it's all the snow that has gotten to him... Who knows? However, that's alright, we brought Cox back, to many's disappointment, to delve even further into his indie game adventure. And hey! Brian's back, so that's something to be thankful for, right?

Under Your Thumb:

Anthony - Sea Of Thieves, SuperHot, and Mighty No.9

Brian - Sea Of Thieves

Brandon  - Assassin's Creed: Hidden Ones and The Curse of the Pharaohs, and Firewatch.

157: Monster Hunter, The Banner Saga, and Indie Game Discussion

Hey, we're nothing else but consistent every week, regardless of who shows up. This week it's a three man cast, and two of the regulars with Brandon Cox stepping in for a missing Brian and Gary. But, it's okay, we make due anyway. First up is Anthony, and he's got Monster Hunter on the brain, yet again. Stephen is still trying to wrap his head around how intense the game actually is, and Brandon really can't really make heads or tails of it. That's to be expected, though. Then Brandon's up and he has a fair amount of indie games to talk about. Guacamelee!, The Banner Saga, Limbo, and Gone Home are all on the agenda. Plus, we have a great discussion on the importance of indie games and their benefit for gamers and the industry.

The Drunken News this week mostly consists of the Nintendo Direct, so don't miss out on that!

156: Payday 2, Persona 5, and Fortnite

It's the old gang again, well mostly. Brian is away on his honeymoon after getting married. It's also our 3rd year anniversary, so he missed out on that. But no worries we brought in an old friend to take his place. Hopefully you remember him. He certainly brought the shenanigans, So much so, that I'm not even going to tell you what we played this week in Under Your Thumb. Just listen and enjoy this hilarious episode of The Tangent Podcast on the 3rd year of it's inception.
