*Charlestown: Sawed-Off Head of Andrew Jackson - found at the USS Constitution Museum located in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Due too a decision to veteo a bill that would benefit local businesses the now unfavorablebe view of President Andrew Jackson was carved on the front of the USS Constitution. A Captain Samuel W. Dewey, had the gumption to address the issue. On the evening of July 2, 1834, in the midst of a thunderstorm, Dewey rowed out to "Old Ironsides" and sawed through the wooden president's head at its nose.The sail ship - USS Constitution/Museum, also known as Old Ironsides, is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy named by President George Washington after the United States Constitution. She is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat.
