This episode Harry and Ron have a bumpy arrival at Hogwarts and meet quite possibly the worst teacher ever. We also take time to reflect that once you're dead you're not people.

In this episode's chapters we see Harry reenter wizard society which leaves the Dursleys free to live their normal terrible lives as normal terrible people.

As we begin the second book in the series we see that Harry's home life continues in it's usual fashion where he is often told to go to his room and stop existing.

In our look back on Sorcerer's Stone we take stock of the plot and worldbuilding elements introduced and wonder how it's possible that a crossbow is a more responsible adult than Hagrid.

In the final two chapters of Sorcerer's Stone the trio goes through a puzzle gauntlet and we finally talk about how sexy Quirell is.

In this stretch of chapters we have our first run in with a dragon and the legal troubles involved with smuggling them. Hagrid's house is made of wood, please help.

This week we learn about wizard sports and wizard fighting and take a moment to acknowledge that there are a lot of alcoholics on staff at Hogwarts.

On this week's episode we see the first years sorted into their houses and get to meet our good friend Severus Snape.

This week we discuss chapters 5 and 6 in which we see Harry do some shopping and enjoy a pleasant train ride.
