Welcome to The Tie Summer Amateur presented by our friends at BDraddy.

The idea is to show you all an inside view into Amateur golf through a deeper look into what goes on at some of the summer's biggest events. 

Each episode will feature a chat between Walker and Henry about the golf course, the local area, and more before bringing on a guest from each tournament who had a big week.

This week were talking about the Northeast Amateur at famed Wannamoisett Country Club in Providence, Rhode Island. Walker and Henry chat about the golf course, why this is such a great tournament that is top of every amateur's schedule, what makes Wannamoisett great and unique, and of course a bit of chat about Providence, the food scene there, and what makes it a great place to visit. In the back half of the episode we bring on now back to back NEAM champion Dylan Menante to hear about his record breaking performance this year. Dylan set the 36, 54, and 72 hole scoring record en route to a 9 stroke win. Safe to say he likes this event.

Today we're focusing on the LPGA, with all the ~junk~ going on in the mens game right now, lets not forget about the women. There's such a great purity to the womens game, especially on weeks like this past one at a course like Congressional that is an easy place to go when the men's game gets to be a of a drag.

Further, we talk with Tie favorite Andrea Lee about her recent success and what she has her mind on heading into the rest of the LPGA season.

This week we break down The Amateur Championship at Royal Lytham and Saint Annes and also bring on Irish Mid-Am Peter O'Keefe who made a run all the way to the Quarterfinals. Peter is the head strength and conditioning coach for the Irish National Amateur team and is also a member of the squad. A great guy with an interesting story, I think you all will really enjoy hearing from him.

Excited to bring Dottie Pepper back to The Tie to chat about anything but golf. Today we have our first book review on Anthony Doerr's All The Light We Cannot See, a historically fictitious WW2 novel that tells the story of German invasion of France through the eyes of two adolescents. 

Dottie is a huge fan of WW2 history so we decided we had to have her on to review a particular favorite of hers and the book choice nor conversation did not disappoint.
