The Toni Daily episodes

  • Mid-life, hard yards and running away screaming

Just started a BRILLIANT new book: "Wind Swept, Why Women Walk" by Annabel Abbs and instantly thought "That wants to be called "Why Women Run Away Screaming". It prompted me to reflect on a piece I wrote recently about why mid-life is the hard yards for women, because:

    • Death & dying ramps up a notch
    • Menopause starts marching
    • Illnesses start to appear
    • Teenage children really need you
    • You still have to work
    • The emotional burden is overwhelmingly yours
    • Relationships break down

But - BUT! - there is plenty of upside....
