Improvements in maternity care since the 1940’s have resulted in a dramatic reduction in the occurrence of stillbirth in the United States, but those declines have recently levelled off. According to the Centers for Disease Control, stillbirths affect over 24,000 women and families each year, but it’s still something rarely discussed. Today, we talk with maternity staff, midwives and therapists who help families through the experience.
