In this episode Caroline and Jack have Daniel Khalife's evidence about why he escaped from Wandsworth Prison - he said it was so he would be classified as a high-risk prisoner and better protected from some of the most serious offenders.
During his evidence to the jury at Woolwich Crown Court he said he used kitchen trousers which he clipped to the underside of a food delivery lorry to create an escape sling. He was then on the run for three days.
He also said he tried on several occasions to tell MI5 and MI6 that he was acting as a double agent by sending worthless information to Iran - but he was then arrested.

Caroline Cheetham and Jack Hardy are back with the very latest from Woolwich Crown Court in The Trial of Daniel Khalife.
In this episode we bring you the details of Khalife’s alleged escape. We hear how he clung to the bottom of a food lorry which prison guards allowed to leave HMP Wandsworth despite knowing a prisoner was missing. The man-hunt that ensued was one of the most
high-profile and expansive in recent history. In police interviews, Khalife expresses his fears he has ‘pissed off’ the whole country as the search disrupts international travel but adds that turning himself in would have been ‘boring’.

The jury have returned a Not Guilty verdict for firearms officer Martyn Blake. But what of Chris Kaba, the man he shot? In this episode we delve into the 24 year old’s criminal past which we weren't allowed to report during the trial.
Kaba was a member of one of South London’s most notorious and dangerous county lines drug gangs. His convictions date to when he was just 13 years old. Had he not died from the bullet fired by Martyn Blake he would have been standing trial for attempted murder himself for a shooting in a nightclub in Hackney.
Rebecca Camber, the Daily Mail’s Crime and Security Editor joins Caroline to unpack the details.
