The act of daily kindness can help overcome pain, anxiety, and depression. This episode was partly inspired by an Article from Dr. William IsHak, a professor of psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai medical center where Dr. Ishak uncovers that acts of kindness and giving can be an effective treatment modality for pain, depression, and anxiety. In the article titled the act of kindness, he discusses The simple practice of being kind to others not only elevates our serotonin levels which is also referred to as our happy hormones, but also strengthens the immune system for both the giver and receiver. However, the power of kindness doesn't stop there, recent studies uncovered that those who simply observe the act of giving or kindness achieve the same benefits as the giver and recipient. This is the reason why I titled the episode the "triangle effect of kindness and giving." Because the power and benefits of giving are endless.
