  • What if you looked at your life as an art project?

Art is about experimentation, breaking the rules, and using your imagination to create.

What if you looked at your life that way? As a blank canvas or an unformed piece of clay? A place where you could let your mind run free and create with freedom, joy, and without any expectations as to the outcome.

How could your life be different if you looked at life like this instead of the linear path we're conditioned to follow? What would you do?

  • It's OK to change your mind. It's called growth!

There's a stigma attached to changing your mind.

People will call you flaky, a flip-flopper, someone who doesn't; know their own mind

It's as if you're supposed to form an opinion once, and then you're stuck with it for life.

The job you choose, the hobbies you have, the food you eat, the music you like. Once people know you for one thing, they want you to stay known for that thing.

But that's BS. And it's holding you back from becoming the new person you're becoming. Because here's the thing, if you're not the same person you were 5 years ago or even 5 minutes ago. You're an ever-changing being, and you should embrace that.

It's ok to change your mind. And in this week's episode, I tell you why.

  • Do you want it more than you fear the pain?

When I was 18 I wanted a tattoo. But my fear of needles stopped me from going ahead.

I got a couple of new tattoos recently, bringing my total to 7.

So what happened to my needle phobia?

Well, the desire for a tattoo eventually outweighed my fear. And once I got the first tattoo I realised the level of pain I was scared of experiencing was far greater in my mind that in reality.

What have you been putting off due to your fear of the perceived pain you'll have to experience to get it? And have you stopped to ask yourself whether what awaits you on the other side is worth enduring that pain?

  • Two Questions To Get You Unstuck & In Motion

Sitting around theorising about what you want to do won't get it done.

Stressing over all the things you have to do or that could go wrong won't get it done.

Sure, you need an idea, but that idea doesn't;t have to be fully formed. In fact, it can't be fully formed if you're embarking on something you've never done before.

This is episode 50 of The Triple C Project, a milestone worth celebrating. And I got here by having an idea and getting started.

Are there things I could have done better? Sure. Are there things I would have done differently if I'd waited until I had a kick-ass plan? Absolutely.

But if I'd done that, if I'd waited, you wouldn't be here listening to episode 50. You might not even have heard episode 1 yet.

In this 50th episode, I share:

    ⚡️ the two questions I ask myself when taking on a big project or a daunting task;

⚡️ why I ask them; and

⚡️ why you should ask yourself these questions too,

  • Who's Holding You Accountable?

It's very easy to get distracted and find that the day has passed by and you haven't got the thing done that you said you would do.

You can implement all the personal development tools and strategies and they can help you increase your focus and productivity or whatever it is that you want to call it.

But there are gonna be times when you just really kind of need to crank something out. No fuss,  no distractions.

That's where accountability can help. Having someone to witness your commitment to getting 💩 done and checking in to ensure that you do it!

Listen to this week's episode to hear my take on the power of accountability, and how getting an accountability buddy brings a little fun and friendly competition to all those things you say you're gonna do but never quite get around to.

Check out The Clarity Podcast, hosted by my accountability buddy and fellow coach,  Keltie Maguire.

  • You Say Enough Is Enough, But Is It Really?

Do you know those days that really set you off? Where you're just done.

Maybe it's a day where 💩show of a deal just lands on your desk, and you're in charge of figuring it out.

Or maybe a colleague requests your urgent assistance with something and not only does this fucks up your evening or your weekend, but you also discover the matter had been sent in their inbox for days!

Maybe you're planning to go off to a friend's wedding and your leave gets cancelled because there's a deal that absolutely has to close and you have to be there. Then the deal doesn't fucking close but the damage is already done.

And in those moments I bet there was a part of you that thought, enough is enough.

But what did you do to change things?

In this episode, I share why saying enough is enough only true if you do something to make it so. And I share how my DID framework can help you stop doing the same thing over and over expecting different results!

Nothing changes unless you make it change.

  • Get Out Of Your Head And Go F*** Around & Find Out

What if you treated life differently?

What if you treated your life like a game? Or a fun art project?

What if you looked at yourself as a kid playing in a massive sandpit with a 💩 tonne of toys, you can build and create anything with?

This week's episode is here to get you thinking about that.

And to get you to stop letting the seriousness of 'shoulds'  hold you back from experiencing the joy of pursuing your wants!

  • Why I Have A Word of The Year and You Should Too

It's A New Year; It's A New Dawn; It's A New Life. (sung in the voice of the legendary Nina Simone 🎶🎤)

OK, I'll concede that a new year happens once a year (Duh!).

But technically a new dawn happens every day. And a new life is there for the taking every second of every day—no need to wait for a new year.

So much pressure is placed on starting anew when a new year comes around, and typically those promises (resolutions) are discarded like the toys kids get tired of playing with after Christmas.

You've probably gathered that I'm not a new year's resolution or new year's new me kinda guy.

But I have in recent years, become a Word of the year kinda guy, and in this week's episode, I tell you:

    💡 why new year resolutions don't work;

    💡 how I went from word of the year sceptic to evangelist;

💡 how having a word of the year allows me to be more intentional; and

💡 how to go about choosing your word of the year.

I'd love to hear your word of the year and why you chose it.

Send me an email or DM at the deets below 💫

  • Look Back To Move Forward: The Power of Reflection and Celebration

We're always quick to focus on the negative; when things go wrong, we carry that heavy feeling of defeat, and it becomes our prevailing narrative, the story of our lives.

But how often do you focus on the positives? On what went right? On where you won big? Where you smashed it out of the park?

If you're anything like I was, not a lot.

But here's the thing, the more frequently to reflect on and celebrate your wins, the more  'winning' becomes your prevailing narrative. And once you identify yourself as the winner, you win more.

    It's that simple.

In this final episode of 2022, I share some of my biggest wins for the year and how slowing down to reflect every so often has contributed to living life Lit!🔥
