Today we’re talking about The FIRE Movement and the skills and mindset used to become Financially Independent which are diametrically opposed to a life of Early Retirement.  In fact, Early Retirement will kill you. Figuratively and literally. F.I., R.E., and F.I.R.E. aren’t destinations, they’re milestones.

The movement, that stands for "financial independence, retire early", generally involves frugality and saving as much money as possible in order to get out of the rat race and spend your days doing what you want but having the freedom to live the way you want takes discipline and planning.
