We have all experienced it – that period in our lives where slowly, softly and almost unnoticeably things begin to withdraw from our lives. As the tides of relationships, work, identity (the endless list of things) begin to retreat we have two options: sit in the discomfort and see what is being exposed and remove the debris before welcoming in the new; or busy ourselves by replacing as quickly as possible what has left with anything and everything that will keep the mess covered.
