Stephen Sylvester and Pardeep Sangha were both brutally stabbed to death.  A year prior the murder of Gurcharn Singh Landa was committed in very similar circumstances in Nottingham. • 6: The Arran Mystery
On the 13th July 1889, Edwin Rose was on holiday on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. He decided to climb the mountain of Goatfell as many other tourists were doing at the time. His trip appeared to be going as planned however when he did not return to London as scheduled on the 18th of July his brother and his friends became concerned. The police got involved in the search for the missing tourist and what initially seemed as though it was a tragic accident turned into a murder investigation and a manhunt for the man who called himself Annandale.

On the 12th September 1907, Bertram Shaw returned home to find his mother waiting on his doorstep at St Pauls Road in Camden Town, London. She told him she couldn't get in and his common law wife Emily wasn't answering the door. Bertram forced the door open and when inside he found a horrible scene. Edward Marshall Hall or as he was known The Great Defender was part of the trial and it was certainly a sensational one.
