There was such an uproar over Rep. Jasmine Crockett not campaigning for James Talarico, even though she endorsed him. Crockett NEVER endorsed a republican, especially a MAGA republican. There should be MORE pushback and condemnation for Stevens for what she did in endorsing Mike Rogers, ESPECIALLY in front of a Black church. She, like MAGA, think Black people are stupid and they both should pay for it at the polls. What do you think?

An entire news cycle skipped this story of a woman being assaulted at #trump rally. We can't normalize this as a society and I would say "shame" on all the people who watched it but they have no shame. They are bystanders and not #upstanders.

There is a rightful conversation about the disrespect directed towards Black Americans by some Black people in the diaspora. What isn’t talked about enough is that there is also a lot of disrespect directed towards Black people in the diaspora by some in the Black American community. Why does this happen? Because we’re all educated by the same anti-Black educational system and media infrastructure. Those of us who believe in unity usually are people who were raised with parents, guardians, teachers, elders, etc. who knew the diaspora wars were intentionally designed to not have us unite. Others. Learned it through hip-hop and other empowerment music. Some learned through that one professor or k-12 teacher who opened our mind. Whatever the reason, those who are not part of the Black diaspora know the power of what could happen if we come together. Don’t let them win!

We can disagree about Sunny Hostin defending the Cornell 7, but there is no question that Megyn Kelly defended these men and accused #janedoe of liking it. This is more problematic than what Sunny Hostin is accused of, but I hear little pushback and that's problematic.

When you are a leader representing a diverse group of people as a leader, you have be mindful of the people you serve. Everyone know's Mamdani's politics on Israel and Palestine. He should have used his statement on the commemoration of October 7th, which he called an "anniversary" in his statement, to speak to the tragedy that the day was for. There is a reason politicians don't speak at 911 events. Again, we ALL have our political views on Gaza. When you are leading a diverse group of people, you should be more mindful on the political statements you make.

I didn’t watch the entire interview with #davinchi and @cam but what I saw was problematic enough. What’s also problematic is how we let debates about issues facing the Black community be led by Black entertainers. No other group does this. We are also doing this while most of us are living through a period of government anti-Blackness that we have never seen before. Ignorance about other Black people is being exposed once again because we haven’t done the real work to build on our global majority that Malcolm, Marcus, and so many others tried to do. Those these 4 situations are very different, the reactions, hate and scorn directed at them as opposed to the systems they are part of is part of the problem. Why do we have so much smoke for the individuals but not the systems? To be clear, the only real "victims" out of my scenarios here are the Wells family so don't think I'm comparing the others as victims too. We need to be mindful of how we come at people while saying nothing for the systemic issues in the NFL, hip-hop, the school system, or the justice system. It's ridiculous.

I said Afro-Cuban grandfather in the video but I meant to say father. Fat Joe should not be using the n-word. NO ONE should be using the n-word. Fat Joe also played into the worst of Black stereotypes by proclaiming himself the "blackest n...." out there. He should know better and so should we. This is a time for leadership as an elder in the game, not more ignorance.
