So-called progressives in many instances are pushing candidates that Black people warn about as being problematic, not just because of the racism they point out from candidates. As the base of the party, Black people deserved to be heard and respected in ways that they are not, especially Black women.

It's so frustrating to hear people say that ICE is killing the wrong people. These are the people they WANT to kill. They want to kill protesters like Renee Good and Alex Pretti. They WANT to kill Latinos like Lorenzo Salgada Araujo and Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero. If they didn't want these individuals killed, then the killers would be fired. There would be arrested. There would be trials. There would be compensation. None of these things are happening, therefore it is safe to say that the right people are being killed based on ICE's thoughts. They also never identify the people they were actually looking for. Why? Because it doesn't matter. They're all the same to ICE. Time to call a thing a thing!

Republicans are quick to say that they didn't hear certain comments that Trump make or posts. Democrats are starting to do the same thing and say they haven't heard or read various comments by people like Graham Platner and Darializa Avila Chevalier. That's a mistake. Democrats should condemn and past problematic comments and then recognize that these individuals have held themselves accountable for their words and that they also haven't created any policies that are racist, homophobic, antisemitism, etc. There is a great opportunity for democrats to build on the momentum being created by these newer candidates but the leadership and those in office now are missing the opportunity. I don't understand why, after almost TWO years, people are still talking about Kamala Harris and Gaza. Regardless of whether you think her stance on Gaza is the reason she lost then fine, but we spent all of 2025 litigating this. Why is almost every interview I see with #tanehisicoates talking about Kamala and Gaza? There's some smoke for Biden and Hillary and others in these interviews, but by and large, it's all about Kamala, a woman who hasn't even announced that she is going to run TWO years from NOW, especially since Trump is POTUS now and he is helping #?netanyahu continue the genocide in Gaza. It's not just Coates, but seeing all his interviews has me thinking. I just feel like something is happening and I can't put my finger on it. People are already priming the pump to blame #jasminecrockett if #jamestalarico loses. That's not right and that's not fair. While I believe that #talarico needs to do more to gain Black voters, I also think that Black voters who aren't feeling him or are on the fence or are mad at how things went down with the primaries need to figure out a way to look at the greater good and go beyond on individual. There are real votes that will occur under #trump that will greatly impact the Black community. They already are. This isn't about votes being taken for granted. It's about what can Black people do in Texas to fight back against Trump and his acolytes. What do you think?

I forgot to mention Haiti, which is right here in this hemisphere and what U.S. policies have and are doing there. Many within the growing progressive podcast class is becoming almost as big of a problem of the democratic consulting class. Their insistence on treating the Israel/Palestine genocide as a voting litmus test is going to convince many of their followers to stay home. I also find it disingenuous because most of them don’t use their platform to discuss the violence and genocide facing people in places like Congo and Sudan, two places where our money is directly impacting the conflicts. We are supposed to vote people into office who represent the majority of our agenda and then force them to get with the rest of our platform. That’s what our ancestors did. Many of these podcasters are going to be fine regardless of who wins. There is so much at stake right now. MAGA wants us to stay home and divided. As I said before, you can’t fight to free Palestine when you’re fighting to keep your healthcare and put gas in your car or your own civil rights at home. Trump is intentionally making our lives so we can’t fight harder for Palestine. And when was the last time these folks were out there protesting Trump like they did against Biden? They have more smoke for Kamala (who was never POTUS), Biden who WAS POTUS, and Obama, who hasn’t been POTUS in a decade. Make it make sense!
