Hey everyone - this is a long one but its a webinar I did combining a lot of the themes and topics I talk about on here, if you are looking for the presentation you can find it on youtube but this gives you an opportunity to listen to how I actually sell externally vs me telling you how I sell externally on a topic that is front of mind to all of us. 

The time has come to split the podcast up. I am losing sleep worrying that someone is coming here for professional wisdom from a senior global leader and accidentally ending up being offended by something I say in another episode. I acknowledge that things are very real in the world right now and that not everyone is up for humor. I also acknowledge that is all that many of you are here for. As such I am doing the right thing and spitting it up so that you are in full control of what you subscribe to and follow. 

Planet Vining will be released next week (just waiting on apple to accept it): This will be the new home for guest speaker series & where you will want to share from externally to clients, prospects, Linkedin etc.  This will be going out to various global brands and will very soon mean bringing on  exciting external guests, partners, clients and beyond. My first drop is our global Corporate CEO and an episode I am so proud of.

The Vining Perspective will remain for those who WANT to follow me as a person, not someone feeling obligated to follow me as an employee of the biz or their specific leader. I will mainly be doing comedy but I will also share regular advice and commentary on whatever the F I feel like talking about. This will be no holds barred, no topic will be off limits and some will be related to my job and plenty wont be.  You are getting me as a person so if you don't like me as a person or my sense of humor, be an adult and empower yourself not to listen. That or accept the reality that you love to hate me and bish you a fan. 

Of course I hope that many of you will follow both but understand some are only here for one specific bit or the other so at least now you know where to go. Thank you for the consistent support, you all have been my light in a dark time and I look forward to the next chapter. XOXO

A couple tips on self awareness and navigating a zoom world for both the introverts and extroverts listening. I also share some personal stories of what I am trying to do to remain positive and strategic in this lengthened Covid landscape. Comparing ourselves to others can be daunting during pandemic, because for some this is a welcomed break while for others its caused financial turmoil or even death in their immediate family or implications to their personal heath. As I've heard it put previously,  for some its a drizzle and others a tsunami. Sharing some little things I have been doing to keep my heart happy in hopes they resonate with some of you and I'd love to hear about some of the great things you are doing as well.

Happy Mothers Day to the mommy's out there. Today's drop came directly from a conversation with a colleague on Friday who reached out to inquire about distancing them self from a person who has been toxic to them, especially now during pandemic and how increasingly hard that has become. I am certainly not a psychologist and can't speak to it from that lens but I can share my own personal experiences and how I would treat the situation. I do think this topic is really important because mental heath is more important now than ever. I talk about everything from identifying if you are actually dealing with a toxic person or if it is just an individual with infectious energy and how to approach each differently. I also walk you through my own experience with this and how I set boundaries in an attempt to continue to thrive and strive without that additional added weight. 

Today is one that you should really listen to the episode before hand to really get it. I walked you through your teams intrinsic motivators and accommodating them, now I want you to do the same for yourself. I also you talk to you candidly about mine. 

Lots of leadership drops over the next few weeks. This one talks about several pieces. It starts with welcome each team members problems with care and concern but also not becoming a confessional due to the chaos around us. especially now during pandemic. I then move into advice on how to adapt to each team members intrinsic / extrinsic motivations and cater to them and cultivate them. This is a good podcast for anyone who is in leadership or considering getting into it.

This is done from the lens of what I would not only open, but what I would likely reply to and all the secrets and tricks as to why. As many of you know, I spent a decade selling prior to my current rol. As such, I can sniff out a sales person a mile away.
