I am back with life coach Jule Kim and today she gives us pointers on how to stick to new habits. New Year New Me! I felt this was an appropriate topic since its January and many of us have at least one resolution we want to work on. Then as the year progresses we might slip up and get discouraged and say f-it. I'll try again next year. We've all been there. Jule shares with us how to make resolutions happen, by breaking down a few steps. The steps will require time, effort patience and a marathon mindset.

On today's episode I have a conversation with NY singer, poet, guitar player & veteran Lo. I befriended Lo a couple years ago through Instagram and kept touch since. She shares her early exposure to music and poetry later in High School. Lo speaks on joining the National Guard and her passion for helping Veterans. Lo also talks about attending Colombia College, and the importance of her tattoos. We close it off talking about being a creative & the impact it may have on our mental health. Had a chat with frequent The Voncast Show guest Susy about her current FB ban situation and what Shang-Chi meant to us and most likely for other Asian Americans. At first I was hesitant to watch the movie because it didn't have any Avengers or any other big Marvel characters. Im glad I saw it. The movie exceeded my expectations. We share how we related to some themes that were prevalent in Asian American culture. *WARNING: THIS EPISODE HAS SHANG-CHI SPOILERS* We also discussed how the movie made us feel and how, in our eyes, this movie was great representation for Asian Americans in media. Today I chat with good friend to do a "cross country" podcast. Cross country because we both enjoy running and she is in Michigan. Get it? Cross Country? Like the running and she's across the country? Ok enough puns. I met Meg at a creative networking event a couple years ago and we kept in touch since. she's a photographer, runner, and also does work for her local radio station.
She also helped me figure out a convenient set up for my at home podcast situation. (thank you!)
