I am joined today by my pastor's mom, Becca Bates. I've had the privilege of observing and moving in the same circle as the Bates family for almost eight years and I have watched all five of Mrs. Bates adult children walk in a deep relationship with God and serve in ministry. I've. watched in awe and wondered what is the secret to raising such strong children who all love and serve God.

I know there are many moms out there struggling to know the difference between legalism, control, and real Christian parenting. So, I invited Mrs. Bates to share some words of wisdom and encouragement for the moms out there who need it.

Today's guest reached out to me and asked to share his story about healing from church hurt, after he heard that many of The Warriors Community listeners have experienced church hurt to some degree. After speaking with Mike, I quickly learned how deeply convicted he is on the topic and how important God's Word is to him.

So, today Mike shares with us some of his story and speaks to how God did not hurt us, people did.

Today, I am joined by a unique guest with a story that is near and dear to my heart. Nicole Henson is a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse and sexual abuse. Nicole was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (AKA. multiple personalities) and experienced God through a massive deliverance.

Despite my own experience with deliverance used against me in an abusive way, I could never deny that deliverance is real and biblical. But for many years, I had no idea what that God intended that to look like. After meeting Nicole, I believe that her conviction and experience with deliverance is biblical and powerful.

My guest today has a unique story and background with spirituality. At a young age, Bobby discovered her spiritual gifts but didn't grow up in a Christian home or have context for what these gifts were. In an attempt to learn more about herself and this pull towards spirituality, Bobby pursued white magic.

Just a few days shy of joining a coven, God spoke to her. Bobby realized that her gifts were from God and the devil was trying to steal them and use her spiritual gifts for his glory. Thankfully, Bobby chose to pursue God instead.

Now, Bobby understands that there is a spiritual battle over our identities and our giftings. Everyone must chose whom they will serve.

Today I am sharing with you an inner healing tool that is new to me but I feel providing deep healing to those who use it. I recently met Mark West and his wife, Dana, and had such a good conversation I invited Mark to share about TheoTherapy on the podcast. Mark is Executive Director of the TheoTherapy Project.

As small children, we develop beliefs that come as a direct result of the things we experience in our family of origin, whether those experiences were good or bad. Throughout our lives, these strongly held beliefs have deep and lasting impact on our choices, our relationships and the way we view God even as adults. Because of childhood trauma and pain, we sometimes begin to believe lies about ourselves, our relationship with God and our place in this world.

If that initial trauma is not dealt with adequately, subsequent painful situations as we grow older just compound and reinforce the lies we believe. Faulty belief systems very often result in dysfunction, depression and destructive behaviors. Understanding God’s unconditional love for us along with the application of sound Biblical principles of conflict resolution will bring about deep emotional healing. We can then move beyond the pain of the past and into a place of sustained emotional health.

Today I am joined by Katie Lain. Katie struggled with alcohol use disorder for almost 10 years, cycling in and out of periods of heavy drinking and quitting alcohol. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t get free. Katie finally escaped this cycle in 2017 when she learned about The Sinclair Method (TSM) – a science-based treatment for alcoholism that has a clinically-proven 78% success rate.

This treatment was discovered in the 1990s, and is proven to help most people reduce heavy drinking and eliminate alcohol cravings over time. Unfortunately, despite the evidence and high success rate, most people don’t even know it exists.

Through this treatment, Katie gradually reduced her drinking, to the point of going completely (and accidentally) alcohol-free one year after she started. After Katie got sober, she began to pray for the first time in her life and through that had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. Katie was saved out of the “new age” after this encounter in 2020.

She now runs Thrive Alcohol Recovery where they offer a comprehensive program for The Sinclair Method that includes a Christ-centered support program. She regularly hears people say that they “have been praying for an answer to their alcohol addiction and God led them to this treatment.” Many Christians who sincerely love the Lord – and many successful everyday people – are struggling with alcohol use, and we need more options for them.
