The boys are back this week with another episode filled with misery and disgust as enjoying football is going swimmingly! Before the sports talk of the week, the boys recap their eventful weekends. Josh went to a show out in Charlotte and took in the game at his beloved Ravens bar in the Queen’s city. Alleycvt, in Josh’s words, did not disappoint and neither did the city of Charlotte. Dante went out to Vegas and gives his recap of a busy and fun weekend. The Ravens dropped yet another to their AFC North “rival” Pittsburgh Steelers, and, naturally, the boys are taking it just fine. The Ravens were fighting uphill seemingly from the jump as Derrick Henry lost his first fumble in over 500 carries on the second play from scrimmage. From there on out, the voodoo shit was in against the Ravens. Josh and Dante take a deep look into what exactly went wrong and why, consistently, the Ravens get out-game planned, out prepared, and ultimately out coached by the Steelers. Derrick Henry was not used as he should have been, again, so Dante recalls the usage stats for the Ravens’ running back in losses compared to wins. Penalties remain a huge issue for this team, so Dante has one man and one man alone to point the finger at. If there was one bright side from Sunday’s loss, it was the defense (surprisingly). The Ravens defensive unit played unequivocally their best game, so the boys take a look at why this was the case and what they hope to see moving forward from this unit. Moving on to the next matchup for Baltimore, the Ravens travel out to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers on Monday Night Football. There are a number of headlines heading into this game, but none bigger than the rematch of the “HarBowl” as brothers Jim and John Harbaugh square off for the third time in the NFL. The boys take a look at how the units on both sides of the football have performed for the Chargers this season, and how the Ravens stack up. Josh and Dante both give their keys to victory. The CFP Committee have released their latest playoff rankings, so the boys break down how they feel about it, and what surprised them the most about this week’s update. The boys wrap up with some music talk, as they both are on the heels of seeing some pretty massive shows this past weekend. On this week’s episode of the show, the boys kick off by recounting their weekends and checking in. Josh was back home in Baltimore for a couple days taking in the Ravens vs. Bengals game, and gives his feelings on his quick trip. Dante played a little golf this weekend and watched some college football. The boys take a quick minute to talk about some pressing questions revolving around the college football landscape, including the topic of LSU getting a “fake Mike” for their game against Alabama. Jumping into the matter at hand, the Ravens got a HUGE win on Thursday Night Football over the Bengals, 35-34, and improve their record to 7-3 on the season. This game felt like more of a collective effort, but obviously was propelled by the performance of QB Lamar Jackson (once again). Josh and Dante take a look at some unsuspecting weapons that came through in big moments, and why Dante is feeling a sense of optimism even amongst the bad we experienced this week. The boys also address the defense and why it’s officially a problem. We’re not used to saying that in Baltimore, so Josh and Dante vent about the defensive frustration, and examine whether or not the issue is fixable. Lastly, what is wrong with Marcus Williams? Moving on to this upcoming game, it’s officially AFC North hate week as the Ravens will travel to Pittsburgh for the first matchup against the Steelers this season. Josh and Dante reiterate one shared sentiment among Ravens fans: we do not like them. The Steelers have been playing good football behind QB Russell Wilson, and unfortunately, this team is very well coached. Dante runs through the numbers on both sides of the ball for the Pittsburgh units. Josh gives his overarching thoughts and feelings ahead of this one. Dante lays out his keys to victory that he believes are most paramount for the Ravens to leave the steel city victorious. The boys are back into the thick of it this week, but they’re back having fun! Josh and Dante kick off the show discussing their Halloween weekends. Josh attended a HOUSE show and gave his thoughts on Bunt’s concert down in Raleigh on Halloween night. Dante recounts his Halloween experience in NYC, and gives his thoughts on why the city is growing on him. Jumping into the sports talk of the week, the Ravens get back on the horse and PUMMEL the Denver Broncos by a final score of 41-10. Lamar Jackson was, once again, pristine on Sunday afternoon, and the boys talk about what a dominant performance it was (again) for the 2 time MVP. In addition to it being another stellar Sunday for Jackson, he became tied for the lead in NFL history for games with a perfect passer rating. Lamar is certainly cementing himself as one of the game’s most special talents. In addition to Lamar, Ravens running back Derrick Henry also had himself a historic afternoon. Henry eclipsed 100 rushing touchdowns in his career with his first of two this Sunday. Dante and Josh explain why Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson are both benefiting from one another, but why they believe only one of them is truly deserving of the “most valuable” title. Additionally, not just Henry and Jackson had extensive offensive days this week, as wide receiver Zay Flowers had himself a 127 yard, multiple touchdown day. Flowers has been slowly emerging as a true WR1 in the NFL over the course of this season, but since week 5, he has broken out rapidly. As Lamar said, this truly is looking like a “pick your poison” offense. It wasn’t all good on Sunday, however, as the Ravens defense were benefactors of a few missed opportunities by Bo Nix and the Broncos’ offense. Dante explains why the score isn’t necessarily indicative of how the Ravens defensive unit played this week, and what the boys believe still needs to be tightened up moving forward. All in all, however, the Ravens got a big time win in a situation where they needed it. Looking ahead, the Ravens have a short week with the Cincinnati Bengals coming to town on Thursday night. Josh and Dante take a look at some looming storylines, including a few key injuries on the Bengals front, and dive into the production by both Cincinnati’s offensive and Defensive units. Josh explains what he believes the Ravens need to do in order to walk home with a dub, and Dante gives his keys to victory. Happy Halloween! The boys are back for a FULLY LOADED and SPOOKY episode this week. To kick off the show, Josh and Dante dive into how they feel about Halloween, and some great costume ideas they’ve seen floating around as of late. Unfortunately, sticking with the spooky theme, the Ravens dropped an ugly loss in Cleveland this week, getting downed by the Browns 29-24. The story of this week’s game was the defense and how unacceptable the brand of ball this unit is playing has been. Josh and Dante take a look at exactly what is going wrong, how it can (potentially) get fixed, and why one of them feels that the defense in Baltimore has lost its identity -- something we never thought we’d say. In particular, the secondary has been so bad that we have miscommunications leading to lapses in coverage, which of course is leading to points… and a lot of them. Also, what is going on with John Harbaugh and Marcus Williams? Outside of the defensive issues, it seems there is a very obvious trend in losses compared to wins this season: the usage (or lack thereof) of Derrick Henry. Dante did some #analysis and it turns out that there is a DRAMATIC drop off in Derrick Henry’s attempts in losses compared to wins on the year. The offensive line went back to their old ways and had an abysmal performance this week, resulting in a total of 18 total pressures, and lastly on the offense, Todd Monken did not do anyone any favors this week either. Last point Josh raises on this week’s game: do the Ravens have a Special Teams problem? Moving on from this game, Eric DeCosta has made his first (of hopefully multiple) trade this week. The Ravens have acquired Diontae Johnson from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a day three pick swap in this year’s draft. The boys give their immediate reaction to the news that broke shortly before jumping on air this week, as well as who they’d like to see EDC go out and get next. To the matter at hand, the Ravens are hosting the Denver Broncos this week. The boys take a look at how each team has looked recently, as well as how they stack up against one another in this matchup. Josh gives his preliminary feelings on the game, and Dante jumps into his keys to victory. The boys discuss some upcoming college football matchups, and how the Ohio State/Penn State game being a 12:00 kickoff should be a crime. The boys are back this week and this week (like any other) the question we’re asking is “just how good is it to watch Lamar Jackson play football?” The Ravens got another big win on Monday Night Football this week over the Buccaneers, extending their win streak to five games. Not only is Lamar doing things that warrant discussions of his third league MVP, but he is now entering territory of historic feats that have only been accomplished by a few of the greats in league history. The boys kick off the football talks by examining Lamar’s generational run, including his career stats on Monday Night, primetime, against NFC opponents, and what he’s been able to accomplish in less than 100 career starts. Josh stresses that we are witnessing greatness on a weekly basis and we have to appreciate it while we can. Aside from Lamar, there are other aspects of this Ravens offense reaching historic milestones. Derrick Henry eclipsed the 100 career touchdown mark, making him one of a select group consisting of elite players. Todd Monken deserves a large amount of praise for what he’s done with this offense. Dante and Josh take a look at some schematic details deployed by Monken and how they’re working against defenses over the last few weeks. This was the week for Rashod Bateman truthers to finally stand up, as he grabbed 4 catches for over 100 yards and a touchdown in the primetime win. Dante takes a moment to shout out some strong points on the defensive side of the ball, as well as pointing out what needs to improve if they’re going to take the next step. The Ravens have their second divisional matchup of the season this week as they head to Cleveland. Jameis Winston has been announced the starter in the wake of Deshaun Watson’s season ending injury, and the team announced that head coach Kevin Stefanski would be relinquishing play calling duties to OC Ken Dorsey. Josh gives his thoughts on this game and what he would like to see from the Ravens in order to come home with a win. Dante gives his keys to victory, as well as a look into how Cleveland’s units have performed this season. The boys get back into their weekly debauchery with an added pep in their step after this weekend. To kick off the show, Josh recounts the pack filled weekend that was. First, he tells us about the first of two concerts he attended this weekend. Friday night, Josh went to see YDG and told us how that went. On Saturday, Josh and some friends went to see Tape B and Levity, which turned out to be one HELL of a show. He has a new up and coming DJ called BEKKV (Bekka) who absolutely crushed her set and deserved to be shown some love on the show. Following the second concert, he booked it back to Baltimore to be seated for the Ravens and Commanders game Sunday afternoon. He gives us his “boots on the ground” recap from the Bank. Getting into the actual football this weekend, the Ravens won their fourth straight game, this time beating the Washington Commanders and red hot rookie sensation Jayden Daniels by a score of 30-23. Dante kicks off the conversation by stating this may be the most complete, complimentary effort we’ve seen from this Ravens squad this year. Derrick Henry had another monstrous performance, but did so very quietly. His 24 carries for over 100 yards seemed to happen as almost an afterthought. Lamar Jackson was extremely efficient, once again, through the air, and is now causing national media pundits to question if this season is the best version of Lamar Jackson we’ve seen so far? The offensive line and receiving core also deserve some flowers which Josh and Dante will happily give them. Overall, a very strong performance from this Ravens team ahead of a very tough week 7 primetime matchup. Moving on to said matchup, the Ravens head down to Tampa Bay on Monday night to face a scorching hot Buccaneers team, led by a familiar face in Baker Mayfield. The Bucs are currently the number one scoring offense in the NFL, and will welcome the second-best scoring offense to their stadium this week. Josh gives his overarching thoughts on this game and what he wants to see from the Ravens heading into Tampa. Dante gives his keys to victory and explains why this will be anything but a cake walk. Moving on to college football, this past weekend was a HUGE one for the NCAA and it absolutely did not disappoint. Baltimore has a big task at hand this weekend with the 4-1 Washington Commanders coming to town led by Rookie of the Year favorite, and potential MVP candidate, Jayden Daniels. The boys kick off this week’s episode recounting game 1 of the ALWC following an abysmal offensive performance by the Orioles. Corbin Burnes delivers nothing short of a steller, ace-esque outing and the offense can’t even muster up one single run of support in return.  Dante was in attendance and gave his thoughts on the crowd as well. The Ravens (thankfully) were back in action this past weekend and got a MASSIVE win over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The boys talk about what they saw from this game and why they felt the Ravens were able to completely and utterly dominate the then-undefeated Bills squad. Some of their player highlights include Derrick Henry, obviously, after totalling 199 yards on the ground and a touchdown, as well as another touchdown through the air. Kyle Van Noy continues his career resurgence in Baltimore tallying another multi-sack game, which is his third in a row this season. Also, once again, Justice Hill proves to be one of the most unsung heroes in the NFL, and Josh explains perfectly why he is the epitome of a role player that everyone should want on their team. The boys are back this week and FINALLY have something good to talk about. For the first time since January, the Ravens are back in the win column, but not without giving us a good scare first. The Ravens went into Dallas and beat the Cowboys 28-25 led by a vintage King Derrick Henry performance. The boys discuss why they still struggle to close out games late, and why Todd Monken and John Harbaugh are over complicating the game. Kyle Van Noy broke a bone in his face and somehow got better. Kyle Hamilton reminded us all that he still is a bad, bad man. Daniel Faalele and Patrick Mekari heard the noise and delivered an improved performance. Finally, Lamar Jackson is cementing himself as a vocal leader of this team and it is exactly what we need. The Orioles enter Tuesday’s series with the Yankees with the potential to clinch a playoff spot, and are finally getting healthy… watch out! The boys are back and there’s nothing to be happy about this week except Captain Coffee (code Wave15) and Huega House (code Dante). The Ravens lose their home opener, just the fourth time this has happened under coach John Harbaugh, and fall to 0-2 on the season. Obviously Dante and Josh are not happy about this and are asking the important questions that everyone wants answers to. Dante wants to start with the head coach, and specifically regarding the league-leading ten 7+ point blown 4th quarter leads in the last two seasons. Dante wants to know why John Harbaugh-led teams cannot close out games, why he seems to be the common denominator, and ultimately why Mike Tomlin was right about this organization. Aside from the head coaching inadequacies, the offensive line has proven to be a MAJOR issue for this team, especially the right side. Daniel Faalele and Patrick Mekari have given up insurmountable pressures and sacks that are ultimately losing games for the Ravens -- but for some reason, John Harbaugh will not make a change this week. The boys take a look at the play calling and why that is an added issue to the laundry list of those this team is facing. Ultimately, the Ravens do not have an identity on offense, and if they do, they don’t know what it is yet. Derrick Henry and Mark Andrews have been criminally underutilized and the boys want to know why. Dante has one solution: PLAY ACTION. Lastly… should we be concerned about Justin Tucker? On the defensive side of the ball, there were several bright spots up front including Kyle Van Noy and Odafe Oweh, who both had 2+ sacks in Sunday’s loss. Ultimately, this loss leads to the first 0-2 start for the Ravens since 2015, and they face an uphill battle to make the playoffs. Moving on to this week’s matchup, the Ravens head to Dallas to take on the 1-1 Cowboys. Josh and Dante keep it simple with their keys to victory this week, and Dante explains why now more than ever, the blueprint is simple but critical.
