The Ravens unfortunately dropped their week 1 game against the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs, but not all is doom and gloom as the boys give their thoughts on what went well in this game. However, the conversation is largely dominated by not what upset them, nor what made them happy, but why they came out of Thursday’s contest confused more than anything. They highlighted some bright spots, largely consisting of Lamar Jackson’s play, and ultimately gave their thoughts on what to look for moving forward and specifically building off of this game. The Ravens have their home opener this weekend with the Las Vegas Raiders coming cross-country to Charm City, so the boys give their keys to victory and why they believe the Ravens should ultimately leave this one with their first win of the season. On the other side of I-395, the Orioles continue their schnide with more uninspired baseball. They are not hitting and the pitchers they have remaining are not producing as we’ve expected (cough, cough Corbin Burnes). All that considered, they were still the first AL team to reach 80 wins on the season. Jordan Westburg, Grayson Rodriguez, and Danny Coulombe have all begun their roads to recovery and hopefully rejoining the big league squad soon, which has the boys hopeful for a run in October. College football was back yet again with early season upsets, and this time it was a rough one for our co-hosts. IT’S FOOTBALL SEASON! The boys are back from their last hiatus of the year with one thought on their minds: football is BACK. The Baltimore Ravens, along with the rest of the NFL, play real and meaningful football this week as they’ll be opening the season in Kansas City against the reigning Super Bowl champs. Before diving into the meat of this week’s show, the boys reiterate the promise they’ve been making to themselves this offseason: WE ARE GOING TO ENJOY FOOTBALL THIS YEAR. Spoiler: that will not last. Unfortunately, we have to start the show with a heartfelt message regarding the tragic passing of brothers and hockey players Johnny and Matt Gaudreau. They heartbreakingly lost their lives in a biking accident over the weekend, which serves as another reminder to all of us to never drink and drive. Josh shares a very nice few words about Johnny Gaudreau and how he impacted Josh’s own fandom of the sport. College football came back last week with its first full week, so the boys recap some of the big matchups. Dante’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish got a big win over the Texas A&M Aggies in Kyle Field on Saturday night, which the boys talk about as we look forward to a, hopefully, strong season from the Marcus Freeman-lead Irish. Finally, they move into their Ravens week 1 preview, discussing what they’re looking for as Lamar Jackson and company get their first real action since January. The boys kick off this week's show discussing the elephant in the room: college football is BACK. NCAA week 0 kicks off this weekend headlined by Florida St. vs Georgia Tech in Ireland on Saturday. The boys discuss their lack of preparedness for the upcoming football season and how exactly Josh will get in "football shape" as quickly as he needs to. Dante attended the Jimmy's Famous Seafood TailGOAT headlined by Two Friends this weekend, and he recounts his experience, as well as why everyone who even moderately enjoys electronic music should see Two Friends live. The boys are back after their last summer vacation and come out of the gates HOT. To kick off the show, Josh and Dante dive into the international DOMINANCE displayed by the Americans at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Tying China in Gold medals, and wiping the floor with the field in total medals, the United States proves, once again, that we are better than everyone else at everything (athletically). The Baltimore Orioles are the first team in the Major Leagues to reach 70 wins this year, which is the first time Baltimore has laid that claim since 1979. Through adversity consisting of injuries, extended slumps, and ownership turnover, the Orioles have still remained atop the MLB's best squads which deserves some praise. Jackson Holliday has continued his hot streak since being recalled. Some trade deadline additions are proving to be quite useful, while one is the complete opposite. On the other side of I-395, the Ravens dropped their first preseason game to the Eagles. The story of the game was first round rookie Nate Wiggins, who had a very impressive performance prior to his injury. The Ravens have experienced a few injury scares, but have avoided major ailments to this point thankfully aside from one defensive player. Josh and Dante realize just how close football actually is, which spurs a conversation on the upcoming College Football season. The boys transition into a more topical matter: the MLB trade deadline that passed this week. The Orioles were quite active, but Dante explains why he doesn't believe the activity will correlate to quality improvements. Dante recounts each move made by the O's this week and offers his thoughts on why he believes it was a good or bad trade, as well as his overall grade on the Orioles deadline moves. Jordan Westburg unfortunately suffered an injury that could sideline him for the rest of the regular season. Jackson Holliday makes his return to the major leagues in EMPHATIC fashion. The Ravens' training camp is in full swing as Lamar Jackson has returned to practice and seemingly looks good to go on the health front. The boys embrace debate: who is the most boring QB in the NFL?

The boys jump right back into it this week and this time, they start off by realizing just how close to football we really are. The NFL kicks off in less than 50 days, and college football even sooner. Jumping into the Orioles this week, they have not been playing good baseball lately and with the trade deadline looming in a week, the boys take a look at some rumored potential trades the O's could be in on, as well as who they might have to part with come Tuesday's deadline. All in all, Dante and Josh take a stab at predicting how Mike Elias will handle the next few days and that goes about exactly how you would expect. Also, Chayce McDermott, the Orioles second-highest rated pitching prospect, made his Major League debut this week! The Ravens are back at the castle for camp and thankfully we do not have any hold ins or outs. Lamar Jackson missed the first couple days of camp with an "illness" and the boys are asking the important questions: is Lamar pooping? We are ready for the season opener at Arrowhead and the boys give their thoughts and predictions on how the Ravens should start the year. The boys are back and on a very sad and heartfelt note, we have to kick off this week's show eulogizing an absolute legend both in the football world, and specifically within the Ravens family. Super Bowl champion Jacoby Jones tragically passed away this weekend at the age of 40. Josh and Dante kick off the show talking about what he meant for our generation of Ravens fans, and why he is an hall of fame personality who will be missed so much. Josh recaps his weekend at Wobble and tells us about his experience raving with Audrey and her crew. The Summer of Soccer is officially over with Argentina and Spain winning Copa America and the Euros, respectively. The boys break down both finales from Sunday, and take a look at the stylistic differences in the European game compared to the "American" game. Josh has a message for spectators of the security debacle in Miami preceding the Copa America final. Staying in the realm of soccer, the boys were elated to finally discuss Gregg Berhalter being relieved of his duties as USMNT head coach. Josh stipulates why this should be a starting line, not a finish line for the US Soccer Federation. Dante and Josh discuss potential replacements for Berhalter, including the commonly mentioned Jurgen Klopp, and Dante's personal pick, Herve Renard. Moving over to baseball, the Orioles dropped 5 of their last 6 games prior to the All Star break which they needed desperately. Limping into the break, the O's we're gifted the final game against the Yankees thanks to some bad defense. Corbin Burnes started the All Star game for the AL, with Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman also joining him in the starting lineup. Henderson also took part in the Home Run Derby on Monday, but unfortunately did not make it out of the first round. The boys are BACK following their holiday hiatus with a very fun episode. Dante and Josh kick things off talking their Fourth of July weekend and recounting how they celebrated. The boys jump right on into the sports talk this week, as the Orioles have had some headlines over the last two weeks. First order of business, over a treacherous schedule and only one off day, the Orioles managed to finish the month of June 17-12. The boys break down what the birds coming out of the month means exactly moving forward, how they should address the holes on the roster with the impending deadline, and why this team setting a franchise record for home runs in a single month will pay dividends in the months to come. In the vein of strong performances, AL MVP front runner and 23-year-old shortstop Gunnar Henderson announced on Sunday Night Baseball that he will be participating in this year's HR Derby. Dante and Josh share their thoughts on the young superstar's partaking in the event, and why it could potentially be fireworks with the likes of Bobby Witt Jr., and former champ Pete Alonso also announcing their participation. The O's also had their All-Stars announced, which saw Gunnar and Adley Rutschman named starters, as well as SP Corbin Burnes selected to the squad. As many believed he should've got in on the first go 'round, Jordan Westberg was chosen as an alternate after Rafael Devers declined his invitation due to injury. Unfortunately, Ryan Mountcastle, Ryan O'Hearn, and Anthony Santander did not get selected and all of Baltimore is asking why. The Orioles have reached a grueling point in their tough month of June that is taking a toll on them. After taking two of three in the Bronx, they were swept by the Astros and dropped the first two at home against Cleveland. Their pitching has been lackluster which begs the question: when will Mike Elias strike? Heston Kjerstad has been recalled (again) by the Orioles and Dante explains why he should be given everyday opportunities, or moved on from. The Florida Panthers have won the Stanley Cup in extremely exciting fashion. The boys break down how they felt about the game 7 result, the series as a whole, and why this was so big for a number of different individuals. Bleacher Report is talking about Lamar Jackson again and Dante has had enough. To kick off the music talk this week, the boys take a dive into the world of sitcoms. Josh raises the question, “who would be the best EDM artist for a ‘Dave’ style show?” and the boys have some takes. The boys kick off this week’s show talking a little footy as Soccer Boy Summer is in full effect. The Euros started last weekend and Dante’s Italy squad got a very fun 2-1 win over Albania. Josh kicks off his rant about Fox Sports and why it should absolutely not be this hard to watch a very important soccer game. The boys take a look at what Fox Sports does well, i.e. their coverage of football, but do not cover soccer nearly with the same grace. In other soccer news, the Copa America will be kicking off on Thursday this week, so the boys take a quick preview of the favorites to win the tournament, as well as why it’s almost a win-win for the USMNT squad and their fans. The Orioles have been hit catastrophically by the injury bug this season, and that trend continues as Kyle Bradish will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. What looked like the best rotation in baseball will now never be realized as the Orioles have lost starters John Means, Kyle Bradish, and Tyler Wells to season ending arm injuries. Their trying June is still continuing strong as they take 2 of 3 games at home vs. the NL-leading Phillies in what was a phenomenal series including one of the best regular season games this year. Grayson Rodriguez looked dominant in his start Saturday evening, and the baby birds were on full display with Henderson, Rutschman, Westburg and Cowser all homering in Sunday’s rout of Zach Wheeler. The series in New York against the Yankees is off to a contentious start with tempers flaring in the opening contest. The Ravens unveiled their brand new alternate helmets which will appear once this season, and the fanbase has mixed feelings. Josh and Dante give their thoughts as well as their predictions on when we will see the new buckets. A report surfaced this week about Rashod Bateman and his health entering last season, so the boys examine what a (presumably) healthy Bateman will look like this season and why they have high hopes for the Ravens receiver. The Boston Celtics are the 2024 NBA Champions after winning the most boring NBA finals in recent memory. Jayson Tatum tried his hardest to go viral and was just cringey in the process. The Edmonton Oilers have made a series out of the Stanley Cup Finals after winning the last two games in explosive fashion, leading to the question “can they come back from a 3-0 deficit?” Josh and Dante give out some song recommendations for the week and send you all into the greatest weekend of your lives.
