Before jumping into this week's subject matter, Scoot and Dante recap the last few days in their lives consisting of bad weather, heavy leg days, troubling commutes and agonizing elderly women (iykyk). After airing their grievances, the boys tackle the news in the world of sports from this previous week, beginning with the US Open at LA Country Club. Windham Clark wins his first career major after an impressive weekend performance, captivated by edging out the competition Sunday with a share of the lead, including the likes of Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. After failing to take yet another big-time tournament in which he was contending, Dante begs the question: "when is it time to be real about Rory McIlroy" and frankly it's a conversation that deserves to be had. Moving on from golf, the boys look at the Orioles over the last week, and once again, where they can get better. After going 4-4 over their last eight games, it is growing increasingly evident that the biggest area of need for this team is the bullpen. Dante and Scoot are also past the point of asking, and are now demanding, that Colton Cowser be brought up. Finally, not that there's much going on, but in the NFL the headlines have been dominated with speculation surrounding the landing spots of DeAndre Hopkins and Dalvin Cook, both of which are still very much in the air. Also, Isaiah Likely is at TEU this week which is HUGE. And to wrap up the show, the boys talk a little college world series... because it's awesome. Cheers!

This week starts with Scoot and Dante giving credit to the Denver Nuggets and Vegas Golden Knights for winning the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals, respectively, before Scoot get's on the VGK "fans" for their celebration of the cup win. The Orioles have won five straight games thanks to some explosive offensive performance spearheaded by one Gunnar Henderson. June has been nothing short of stellar for the 21 year old stud, as Dante and Scoot dive into just how impressive this month has been, and also what's been the difference over the last two weeks for Gunnar. Ravens mini camp has kicked off at the castle this week with the likes of Lamar Jackson, Odell Beckham, and Todd Monken addressing the media giving fans a lot to be excited about. The boys get into Odell's first appearances both on the field and with the media as a Baltimore Raven, as well as Todd Monken and Lamar Jackson discussing new roles in the offense ahead of this year. Outside of Baltimore, some waves are being made in the NFL world as Buffalo seemingly had a situation with star receiver Stefon Diggs, who was noticeably absent from practice Tuesday. We're not sure why, but we were sure to talk about it. Dalvin Cook was released by the Vikings late last week, and all signs allegedly point to him becoming a Miami Dolphin sooner rather than later. And lastly, DeAndre Hopkins is on the move taking visits with both the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots this week... which prompted the boys to address his potential landing spots for this season. The show is wrapped up with some golf talk ahead of the year's third major taking place at Los Angeles Country Club. LIV Golf and the PGA tour (along with the DP World Tour) will be MERGING into one commercial entity. Dante and Scoot dive into everything about this move, like what does this mean for how golf events are played? Will the LIV players get paid out the exorbitant amounts they were promised a year ago? How will PGA players follow Jay Monahan into this new professional golf tour's inception after being so outspoken the LIV tour? They give their takes on what this means for the game of golf and what they're hoping to see out of this new golf tour. The Orioles are amidst a road trip taking 2 of 3 in San Francisco and dropping game one in Milwaukee. The birds' bullpen is struggling lately and Scoot gives his thoughts on what the Orioles should do with the coming trade deadline. The two also give their potential trade targets for the O's and what would best behoove the roster right now. They also take a look at some of the studs down on the farm, and ask the begging question: when will we see any of these guys in an Orioles uniform? The boys are fresh off a holiday weekend and are ready to break down a potential DeAndre Hopkins-to-Baltimore signing. In case you've checked twitter since Saturday morning, our guys (mainly Dante) have made their feelings clear on how they feel about the Ravens allegedly being a frontrunner for the stud receiver fresh out of the dumpster fire that is the Arizona Cardinals. Scoot wants it clear that he would not be upset about Hop joining the Ravens, but doesn't feel it's the most pressing need at this point (get a load of this guy). In other Ravens-related news, OTAs are still going on and guys like Rashod Bateman coming off injury, and Patrick Queen coming off some offseason drama are in attendance and seem to have caught some eyes. Lastly on the football front, Todd Monken is making some news with his firey attitude and upbeat energy on the practice field, notably this past week when he got on some receivers for not running routes precise enough... Baltimore football fans collectively can rejoice. The Orioles had a less than stellar previous week although taking two out of three in the Bronx, they returned to Baltimore losing four of six to the Rangers and Guardians. Aside from dropping back to back series, the worst loss of all is that of Cedric Mullins to a strained groin. No explicit timetable on his recovery yet, but we're all hoping he's back soon. Grayson Rodriguez was sent down to AAA Norfolk to get more work as he's struggled largely during his first 10 MLB starts. And lastly, the boys review the new Orioles' City Connect uniforms. The boys kick off this episode, after addressing Scoot's troublesome bout with kobe beef hamburgers, talking up their guy Lamar Jackson for being back at the Castle this week. The Ravens franchise QB arrived in Baltimore this week to begin working at OTAs and, more importantly, start learning new offensive coordinator Todd Monken's new offense. Jackson also addressed the media following his first practice this week on Wednesday, during which he was outspoken on his new OC's system and how much he likes it so far. Brooks Koepka captured his fifth career major championship victory winning the PGA Championship at Oak Hill last weekend (+2100 shout out to Scoot and Dante). Brooks now joins rarified company as only the 7th player to win their 5th major prior to turning 34 years old, including the likes of Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and Arnold Palmer. The boys raise the question: is Brooks one of the best players of his generation? Also making headlines from Rochester this past weekend... club pro-turned-America's favorite golfer Michael Block captivated the country watching the final round of Sunday's major, putting a stamp on his weekend including a slam dunk hole-in-one and a captivating up and down to qualify for next year's PGA Championship at Valhalla. Lastly, the boys talk baseball with another week of O's ball in the books. The birds swept the Blue Jays in Toronto over the weekend prior to making their way down to New York for a three game stint against the Yankees. Moreover, the long awaited Baltimore city connect uniforms are here and they're... something. The boys give their thoughts on the uniforms and what they were expecting from them.

The boys are BACK and so is the NFL with another head scratching week of the schedule release. Some teams' social media crews crushed it... and others' didn't. Scoot and Dante dive into the Ravens schedule this year and highlight some big matchups they have circled, as well as some noteworthy trips the team will be making. They also give some predictions on win totals that are already out there, and who they think will be good and who will stink this upcoming season. The other Baltimore Birds were rockin' this past week taking both series against Tampa and Pittsburgh, catalysted passed the Pirates in large thanks to a career Friday night from Cedric Mullins, and being up 2 games to 1 on the Angels currently. We jump into some top prospects and who we may potentially be seeing up in the bigs soon. In addition to the O's, the boys take a look at the rest of the league and who the current betting favorites are to hoist the commissioner's piece of metal, as well as each league's MVP. It's another Major week in the world of Golf so of course the boys have some best bets for the PGA Championship at Oak Hill this weekend. The boys kick off this week with a belated wishing to everyone May the 4th be with you all since they forgot to do so last week. This week's show kicks off with a LOT of baseball talk surrounding the most fun team in the MLB: the Baltimore Orioles. Now that we're almost a quarter of the way into the season, Scoot and Dante dive into the Birds and what they've seen through 37 games. Over the last three series the O's have shown some good and some less than good, namely in their bullpen management this passed weekend in Atlanta, and the boys analyze what Brandon Hyde and this team has shown and failed to show against a pair of playoff teams in the Braves and Rays. Furthermore, some of the Orioles players are off to great starts and deserve some attention. Jorge Mateo is quietly having an MVP-caliber season and the boys highlight his stellar start, as well as giving some love to the likes of Austin Hays, Adley Rutschman (obviously), Yennier Cano, and Ryan Mountcastle. Lastly, the Orioles have maybe the most loaded farm system in the league and at some point are going to have to make a move or two. They discuss who could potentially be used as trade chips and who they believe will be in the team's future. And to put a bow on the Orioles talk, Dante went down on the farm to check out Jackson Holliday in his Aberdeen home debut, and lets just say... the future is bright in Baltimore. In other Baltimore sports news, Lamar Jackson had his post-contract signing press conference and had some things to say. From all accounts, it sounds like he and Todd Monken's relationship is off to a great start. Lamar was also contacted by other teams in the league, so naturally we have to speculate. Jackson ASKED POLITELY if we could get Odell Beckham and DeAndre Hopkins, contrary to a report that was blasted to the public some weeks ago. And at the end of the day, Baltimore was home to Lamar and he wanted to stay. Aside from Jackson, Eric DeCosta had a lot to say this passed week about linebacker Patrick Queen on the heels of declining his fifth year option. We get into the weeds on what this could potentially mean for the future relationship of the two parties. Lastly, Scoot takes us home by providing us his weekly update on the Stanley Cup playoffs, and this time with an added bonus of a futures bet from both hosts.

It's episode 52 and LAMAR JACKSON IS FINALLY A RAVEN FOR LIFE! Dante was 30,000 feet in the air (literally and figuratively) when the news of Lamar coming to agreement with the Ravens on a five year extension, and Scoot has never been happier as a Ravens fan. Shortly after the news broke of the deal being agreed upon, the 2023 NFL draft began and saw the Ravens adding yet another weapon for their franchise QB in Boston College receiver Zay Flowers... again, much to Scoot's pleasure. Dante and Scoot break down how they felt about the Ravens' 2023 rookie class and where they see the Ravens continuing to expand before "setting" their roster now that they have some room to play with. The boys begin the sports talk by addressing the screaming rumors of DeAndre Hopkins coming to Baltimore. Pacman Jones continues to allude to the Ravens as a frontrunner to land the star receiver. Dante and Scoot move into their LOADED NFL draft conversation, beginning by breaking down their mock drafts released on the socials this week. Scoot has some bold predictions about a MASSIVE trade for a QB to be taken at 3, and a potential top 3 player falling to the middle of the first round. Dante gives some calculated predictions about the Texans passing on a QB at 2, a trade for a QB at 3, and the Patriots landing a weapon at 14. Lastly, as he so often does, Dante couldn't let the week go by without dishing out some NFL draft best bets. And to put a cherry on top, Scoot touches on the NHL playoffs and gives his latest prediction for who will hoist lord Stanley.

The boys are back and celebrating a minor milestone in the Wave Podcast history. Jalen Hurts has been the dominating story in the media this week, and rightfully so, after signing a MASSIVE 5-year extension with the Eagles. And like much of the rest of the sports talk world, Scoot and Dante both took a collective 15 seconds before thinking "what does this mean for Lamar?" The boys get into the weeds with what Hurts' extension with Philadelphia will mean for the Ravens in their "ongoing" negotiations with their QB, and if maybe this will spark a new strand of conversation between the two parties. The other most notable piece of news regarding the Ravens is the fact that, per the credible Adam "Pacman" Jones, Baltimore is still in the mix for DeAndre Hopkins, followed with Pacman adding that (Hopkins to Baltimore) is a "Shkrong possibility" which set Baltimore fans ablaze with optimism. Lastly the boys round out this week's football talk with a bit about the upcoming NFL Draft. We're in the middle of bullshit season, and there's plenty to go around. Swirling rumors this week include Houston potentially shopping the #2 pick, or potentially not taking a QB in that spot, as well as certain surprise candidates to draft a QB on night 1. Transitioning away from the NFL, the boys get into talking about their beloved Baltimore Orioles. Taking 3 of 4 from Oakland, and 2 of 3 in Chicago against the White Sox, the O's are moving well and nobody is hotter than Jorge Mateo right now. The O's still have work to do, but this team is continuing to show their grit and resolve, which is the talk of the town.
