Finally coming back from their extra-week long hiatus, Scoot and Dante jump back in talking about some of the music they've been listening to lately, and why Post Malone and Taylor Swift have Scoot emotional (again). Scoot spent his break showering good friend and friend of the pod, and soon to be dad, Marc Roche up on his home turf of Cape Cod. Dante is playing good golf of late, but now the pressure is being put on by his over bettors. To get into the last two weeks of sports, the boys start only where it's right and that's with the gosh darn Baltimore Orioles. A very tough two week stretch for the O's that proved fruitful, with the Birds finishing 9-5 over the 14 game stint vs. the likes of the Rays, Phillies, Yankees and Blue Jays. Ryan Mountcastle and Ryan O'Hearn have continued to impress, while Gunnar Henderson is still a top 5 player in baseball. Oh, and we like leadoff Adley. Unfortunately, however, with the good will also come the bad and that "bad" is Jorge Mateo, who will sadly be out of a roster spot in the near future presumably. And for the record, the boys are not worried about Colton Cowser... he's going to be juuuuuust fine. The trade deadline was Tuesday and the Orioles acquired Jack Flaherty from the Cardinals. A decent deal for the birds, although they were very much in on Justin Verlander, Dylan Cease, and Eduardo Rodriguez. Scoot gives his "f*ck them prospects" thoughts while the boys examine the assumed mindset of Mike Elias and company following this year's deadline. Looking around the league, the Mets, Cardinals, and White Sox were this year's big sellers just like we all thought, with the Angels and Rangers being the most active buyers. The boys break down the moves that were made and how the league is now shaping out for the stretch run. Pivoting to football, training camp is underway and we are officially in football season. The Jets and Browns kick off this year's preseason, and Dante dives into some Ravens training camp headlines. Lastly, the boys are drafting their top 5 Movie Franchises. Cheers to the weekend, cheers to yall, and make sure you stay hydrated!
