As we continue in Galatians, Paul again warns against false brethren. False brethren are those who teach a false gospel which is no gospel at all. They are enemies of the cross and must be treated as such. They move secretly, smoothly and with great subtlety. What they present is not true to Jesus Christ and His word. There is no room for discussion with these evil men. Separation is the only action to take.
Next, we are not to idolize men, movements or ministries. We are to place no one on a pedestal. No one is to be placed above Jesus Christ and His word. In truth, we do struggle with this. It is so easy to allow our feeling, affections and loyalties to rise above our call to faithful obedience.
We must always hear God's word, know God's word and obey God's word. To obey is better than sacrifice.

In this study we continue to look at creation. We have set before us a complimentary commentary that focuses on the sixth day of creation. Specifically, on the last half of the sixth day with the creation of man.
We also have several great foundational pictures set before us. The first picture has to do with the church and how we were born from the side of Christ. It is a great picture that illuminates the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ.
Also before us is the foundation of marriage. We are able to learn so much from these few foundational verses on marriage. Everything that is said about marriage in the bible is built on the foundation found in these few short verses.

Paul continues his letter to the church at Galatia. He lets them know that he is not a man pleaser, he is a bondservant of Jesus Christ. A bondservant is a slave. A bondservant's life is not his own. Paul's life is not his own. His life belongs entirely to Jesus. Is our life our own or does it belong to Jesus?
God called Paul according to His grace in order that Paul would preach the true gospel to the gentiles. God revealed His Son Jesus to Paul. God revealed Jesus in Paul. And now God would reveal Jesus through Paul. God always works in us that He might work through us.
Paul had a dramatic conversion. He also had a great call put on his life from God. However, Paul did not immediately begin to serve. There was an extended time that God worked in the life of Paul, preparing him for what he had been called to do. God called Paul and would send Paul, but first God would prepare Paul. God is always more interested in the servant than the service

In this study we complete our study of the creation account that covered the six 24-hour days of creation. In this we see the awesomeness of God through his creation.
In our next study we will continue to look at creation from a different angle. It will be a complementary commentary on the first chapter. The focus will be the last half of the sixth day of creation. We will take a thorough look at the creation of man.
Again, as we look at this chapter, we see that God alone is the creator of everything seen and unseen. The undeniable fact that God is the infinite, almighty, self-existing creator is foundational to the entire bible. It is foundational to our relationship with God. We must never compromise on the literal view of the first chapter of Genesis.

We now begin a new study in the book of Galatians. What a tremendously powerful and important letter then and today. In this letter, Paul deals with a major problem facing the church and still facing the church today. Paul is in full combat against the false teachers who are seeking to destroy the truth of the one and only gospel.
Some view this book as a battle against legalism. But it is much more. It is a call to arms. It is a bold declaration concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was under attack then and it is under attack today.
Are you prepared to stand for the truch found in Jesus Christ and His word? Are you prepared to stand for the truth of the gospel? Are you prepared to live for the truth? Are you prepared to die for the truth?
Jesus is coming soon. Let us all stand strong for the truth found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ until He takes us home.

We continue our study in Genesis Chapter 1. In this study we will look at days two through 5 of the creation account.
The amazing creative power of God is beyond our ability to even begin to imagine. How can one begin to explain the trillions of stars contained within 24 billion light years of our awesome universe. How is it that God could do all of this in a day. Thousands of sea creatures and birds. All created in a day.
Volumes could not even begin to contain the wonders of God's creation.
What an awesome God we serve!

We finally come to our last study in this great book of Isaiah. We are fittingly pointed to the Millenium that will immediately be followed by the eternal kingdom of God. What a glorious future we as followers of Christ have. We have such incredible hope beyond this world. As believers we must keep our eyes on Jesus. Our hope if not in this world. We can barely imagine the splendor and glory that God is preparing for us.
The book does end on a strange verse. It reminds us how critical it is that unrepentant people need to turn to the Lord. This sobering contrast found in the last verse reveals to us the eternal importance of this present life. It is the choice presently that determines eternity.
Seek the LORD while He may be found. Though your sins be as scarlet they shall be white as snow. O LORD, I will praise You; though You were angry with me, your anger is turned away, and you comfort me.

We will now be sending out two Bible studies every week Lord willing. The study being sent out today will be our first study in the book of Genesis. This should be an exciting study.
Genesis is broken up into two sections. The first 11 chapters being a prologue if you will with chapters 12-50 introducing us to Abraham through whom God will bless all the nations of the world.
The first 11 chapters are foundational to many things. These chapters are meant to be taken literally and that is how they will be taught. To have a solid understanding of the first 11 chapters of Genesis gives us a solid foundation for the entire Bible.
Let's buckle up and see what amazing things God will show as we begin this study in the great and important book of Genesis.

We now see God's response to the beautiful prayer that Isaiah gave on behalf of the nation of Israel. Remember, no matter how wonderful and powerful a prayer sounds to men, God knows the character and intent behind the prayer. Isaiah was sincere yet the vast majority of the Israel was insincere.
God answers prayer in righteousness according to His Holy character and for His glory alone!
The answer before us summarizes the book of Isaiah. The LORD had constantly presented His love to Israel which they continually rejected. Thus, God's judgment was necessary. Yet within the vast majority of rebellious and evil Israel, there was a remnant that God would preserve.
God makes clear the difference between the way the rebellious, evil apostates live and how the righteous remnant lives. God sees and knows the difference. Furthermore, there are consequences for both. The rebellious, evil apostates will face severe eternal judgment. But for righteous remnant, their consequences will be glorious as Jesus returns to establish His kingdom for a thousand years. After that, a new heaven and a new earth will be ushered in.
In all of this and throughout the entire book of Isaiah, there is a pleading for the people to place their trust in the LORD and to live righteously. God has not changed. That plea is being made to us today. Are we living for Jesus? Are we living in all out obedience to Jesus Christ and His word? Do we truly seek the LORD?

Most of Isaiah 63 and all of chapter 64, contains a national prayer by Isaiah. It is a prayer made on behalf of the remnant. It is a prayer that should both instruct us and encourage us today.
Isaiah began by praising God and declaring His indescribable goodness. He then acknowledged how Israel rebelled horribly against God's goodness. Next, he remembered the faithfulness of God. Then he plead with God that He would pity them and once again show His tender love.
Isaiah concludes his prayer with confession, repentance and a plea for God to act on behalf of His people. As we will see in the next few chapters, God does hear and answer the prayers of His people.
Much can be learned about prayer from this passage. It should be an encouragement to our prayer life. As the remnant church of the last days, may we all be encouraged to pray without ceasing.
Maranatha!
