March 16, 2022 The people left behind
Most people from Tier-2 cities leave for metros like Bangalore, Pune. It started with my generation and rise of Bangalore, hyderabad and Pune as IT hubs. Before that most people used to leave for US. Till today same thing is happening. I came back 1.5 years back to my home city of Bhopal and almost no Young people are here. In my neighbour hood it's around 95% percent young people in Metros. After becoming a teacher and interacting one to one with hundred of people, came to know what happens to people who don't left for metro. One person call me the other day and told that he stayed back because he is the only child and Parents didn't wanted him to leave. Now stuck at a 15K job with ho growth. Another person told that first 2 years gone after seaching job in MP. After that on parents pressure prepared for MPPSC for 4 years and in a blink 6 years gone. Now stuck at a 15K job in Bhopal. This MPPSC story is so common that most of the people, who don't leave Bhopal ends up wasted 4 years in it. Heard this from atleast 10 people. Infact one of my student in Bootcamp is still giving his last MPPSC attempt. Most of these people don't even have the knowledge that in today's world, you can get a well paying IT job just with skills. There are companies, people in Bhopal, Indore who are willing to pay Metro Salaries if you know the right skills. The right skills are web-app development skills of ReactJS. Building mobile apps with React Native. No startup will ask you degree, gaps if you have these skills. The more experience you have, your salary grows exponentially. You cannot find a ReactJS developer with 1 years of experience in less then 10 lakh per annum.

September 23, 2021Why do people hate CSS?
In this episode we will understand the hatred for CSS in the developer community. The hatred started with the confusing and highly unpredictable floats in CSS.
Floats are really difficult to work with and causes a lot of problem to the code which comes after it.

We have to use clearfix to fix it and lot of other hacks.

Because of this frameworks like Bootstrap rose, in which people don't even have to learn CSS.

But now with the invent of flexbox and Grid, it is easier to use CSS and create those complicated structures with ease.

Angular is very much relevant today and is used a lot in enterprise. We will discuss the same in today's episode.
Almost 99% of startups work on ReactJS, the rest 1% on VueJS
But we should not forget enterprise customers, who started 10 years back in Angular.
They prefer their old AngularJS project to get converted to Angular and also new development to start in Angular.
Some companies have a lot of Angular resources and they also prefer Angular projects and also recommend the same to the clients.

September 16, 2021Coding is more addictive then video games.
Yes, you heard it right and yes coding is more addictive then Video games and Netflix combined.
A lot of people i know get the kick after pushing their code to a Github repo. And i am one of those junkies.

The coding bug bit me in 2010, when i was super-bored with my production support job. I asked for a development job and got a task to automate the whole manual process of checking different file system and sending a mail. Create it with unix shell script and never looked back.

Till today i code i hour minimum daily and get my daily dose of caffeine.

One of my friend is into Senior management and wanted to build his startup. Lost a lot of good developers during the lockdown and decided to do it himself and got hooked to coding. Created an awesome API product in the past two years and i am building the Front-end for the same in ReactJS.

A college student, who is my student is super-bored with the theoretical BE coding courses. Got hooked to coding and cannot learn theory anymore.

September 14, 2021Don't learn DS and Algo
In this episode we will learn how again history is getting repeated in India and why we should not learn DS and Algo.
In India students make the same mistake again and again and it costs them and country.

First for a handful of IAS jobs, millions of students waste their whole youth. It was happening 20 years back and also happening now.

My neighbour son is preparing for IAS for the past 4 years and will keep doing it.

Then in smaller cities people also prepare for Govt jobs till they are 30 and do nothing.

After that everyone competes for handful of seats in IIM and IITs.

Now, i can see the same thing happening for DS & Algo. Everyone wants to work for FAANG, which requires DS and Algo.

They are not used anywhere in development, but instead of been happy with coding, people mug up these.

Their is no harm in working for FAANG, but there are other awesome options, like working for a small startup or even starting your startup.

Don't go for those handful of jobs and live a life of misery, instead fall in love with coding and develop awesome products

September 09, 2021Service companies are not bad as projected nowadays
I have worked for all type of companies in my career. This episode is based on my experiences.
Nowadays most people in product based companies and FAANG portrait service companies in very bad light.

Like most of them have only support job or enhancement projects, but it is not completely true.

Yes the big five service companies have a lot of support and testing jobs, but they are not all service companies.

Even a 10 person team doing projects for Indian or US clients are service companies and they do work on very challenging projects.

Even in those 5 big service companies, if a person is stuck in Support or Manual testing job, it is his/her problem also.

They didn't talked to their manager or tried to get into development.

When i was in a support job, i did small development projects always after work. It was either for the company or my learning.So, nobody stops you from moving to development.

Plus i have worked on some of the best projects in my life when I worked in Client teams as Consultant through Service companies.

All product companies and FAANG hires Consultant in India also. They work with their team to learn and produce amazing software.
