South Africa has moved two notches down on the Economist's 2016 demcocracy index, released this week to the 39th spot. The index, which looks at a hundred and 65 states, classifies South Africa, as a flawed democracy. Acting National Police Commissioner Khomotso Phahlane says he intends taking legal action against the IPID and those falsely accusing him of corruption.
