  • The Power of Self-Help: A Path to Well-Being, Transformation & Flow
The Power of Self-Help: A Path to Well-Being, Transformation & Flow

What if some of the most powerful tools for transforming your life are the ones you learn to develop within yourself?Self-help is about more than reading inspirational books or setting personal goals. At its heart, it's about self-discovery, self-awareness, personal growth, and learning how to participate more fully in your own well-being.

In this episode of The Wellness Podcast, Edie Summers and guest host Rosemary Brocco explore the power of self-help and how developing greater awareness, resilience, and practical life skills can support meaningful personal transformation.Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect. We encounter challenges, uncertainty, stress, and periods when we may feel disconnected from ourselves or unsure of our next steps. But self-help offers an opportunity to explore new perspectives, recognize patterns, discover resources, and make intentional choices that better support the lives we want to create.

    We explore ideas including:
    • The power of self-awareness: Understanding your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and patterns.
    • Personal transformation: How small changes in perspective and behavior can create meaningful shifts over time.
    • Building resilience: Developing tools to navigate life's challenges with greater flexibility and self-compassion.
    • Finding your flow: Recognizing the balance between challenge and ability, where engagement, creativity, and personal growth can flourish.
    • Taking an active role in well-being: Exploring practices and resources that support your body, mind, relationships, and overall quality of life.
    • Creating positive momentum: Why meaningful transformation often begins with small, consistent choices.
Self-help isn't about fixing everything that's wrong with your life or becoming someone you're not. It's about discovering what's possible, developing a deeper relationship with yourself, and learning how to navigate life with greater awareness, confidence, and purpose. You don't have to change everything overnight. Sometimes the smallest shift in perspective can open the door to an entirely new direction.🎧 The Wellness Podcast with Edie Summers

  • Living in Flow: Synchronicity, Challenge & Finding Your Sweet Spot
Living in Flow: Synchronicity, Challenge & Finding Your Sweet Spot

What does it mean to live in flow? Sometimes flow is something we experience when we're completely absorbed in what we're doing—when our abilities and the challenge before us seem to meet at just the right place. Other times, we may experience flow more broadly as a sense that life is moving with us rather than against us.

In this episode of The Wellness Podcast, Edie Summers and guest host Rosemary Brocco explore the idea of living in flow: noticing synchronicities, paying attention to what energizes and engages us, and learning to recognize that delicate space between comfort and overwhelm.

The concept of the flow state suggests that we can become deeply engaged when a challenge stretches our abilities without exceeding them. Too little challenge can leave us bored or disengaged; too much can leave us anxious and overwhelmed. Somewhere near the edge of our current capabilities lies a powerful place for learning, creativity, growth—and flow.*

But living in flow can also mean becoming more attentive to your life. What keeps showing up? What feels meaningful? What gives you energy? Where are you forcing something that perhaps isn't working anymore? And are there unexpected connections or synchronicities inviting you to look in a new direction?

In this episode, we explore flow states, synchronicity, intuition, challenge and skill, finding your personal “sweet spot,” letting go of unnecessary resistance, and becoming more present to the direction your life may already be taking. Flow isn't necessarily about making life effortless.
Sometimes it's about becoming skillful enough to recognize when to stretch, when to rest, when to persist—and when to allow life to unfold.*

  • Living Slow in a Busy World: How to Unplug, Recharge & Take Better Care of Yourself
Listen to me and my guest host, Rosemary Brocco, on how to live slow in a busy world.

Do you ever feel like life is moving faster than you can keep up? Modern life can keep us constantly connected, constantly busy, and constantly responding to what's next. Between work, responsibilities, technology, endless information, and the pressure to keep going, it's easy to become overwhelmed, stressed, and eventually burned out.

In this episode of The Wellness Podcast, Edie Summers and guest host Rosemary Brocco explore the importance of slowing down and creating space for something many of us put at the bottom of our lists: ourselves. We talk about self-care, chronic stress, burnout, and the value of occasionally unplugging from the noise around us. Slowing down doesn't necessarily mean abandoning your responsibilities or changing your entire life. Sometimes it means creating small pauses in the day, becoming more present, listening to what your body and mind need, and giving yourself permission to rest and recharge. And perhaps this conversation is even more relevant today.

We live in a world of notifications, social media, news, emails, streaming content, and an extraordinary amount of information competing for our attention. Finding moments of quiet can be an important counterbalance to a culture that rarely seems to stop. In this episode, we explore themes including self-care and replenishment, recognizing stress and burnout, slowing down in a fast-paced world, unplugging from constant stimulation, creating more space for rest and reflection, becoming more present in everyday life, and finding a pace that supports your well-being.

You don't have to escape your life to slow it down. Sometimes, you simply need to give yourself permission to pause, unplug, breathe, and come back to yourself.

"Creator and host of the nationally syndicated talk radio program, The Danielle Lin Show: The Art of Living and Science of Life, Danielle Lin, C.N., has been a leading voice in conscious media for over 30 years.Remember when transformational books were only published in garages, when no one on talk radio discussed health, wellness and spirituality, when it was hard to find “health” food in a grocery store, when succeeding in business was disconnected from doing good in the world, and when the words “yoga,” “organic,” and “consciousness” were rarely heard? So how did these good things go mainstream?
It happened through the dedicated efforts of those who were swimming upstream for a long time. Danielle was one of those strong swimmers who set the pace for change, shaped the conversation, and inspired people to improve their lives."
