This Sunday, the Mt extends it's hours of operation by half an hour: last upload will be at 3:30pm from the base lifts!

The Whistler Pride Parade is today at 3pm; Whistler transit will be issuing a new reduced Winter schedule on Feb 6th; Rainbow Park will be closed for construction this summer; and it will be a chilly couple of days on the hill!

Another stellar day in the alpine today if you get above the lingering valley cloud. Cloud is due to increase this afternoon however and bring a couple of centimetres tonight! Groomers held up really well yesterday! Temperatures are warm today and remained so overnight - hopefully runs are still chalky. The wind direction is changing to a northwesterly and brings the cold arctic air that will dominate starting Saturday. Brrr.

Mild temps already this morning: +2 at 1800m! Sunny skies up top today with this week's familiar valley cloud lingering again. These warm alpine temps mean the Avi danger is considerable in Alpine elevations!

Did you hit Lower P2C yesterday? Soupy vis in sections and that's what will be expected today too: no new snow; variable vis; Ptarmigan is run of the day on whistler; and tomorrow the freezing level shoots up with sunny skies!

What a great weekend eh? That sunset last night! O_O

Lower Peak to Creek was groomed for the first time this year last night; so was Gear Jammer, Upper Catskinner and lower Franz's!

The freezing level is forecast to skyrocket on Wednesday; then plummet on Saturday, FYI!

You know the adage: 'Don't believe everything you see/read'?

Well that applies to today's preliminary snow report that reads 0cm overnight: there's 9cm of fresh at the snow stake! ^_^

More snow will fall during the morning tomorrow too. hot damn, yesterday's shredding was glorious eh? Enjoy today's sleeper pow day too! Catch ya on Monday.

Choo Choooo. All aboard the Pineapple express. 5cm+ is on the Snow Ruler this morning but it's just -2 at the tippy tops of WB; above freezing at Pig Alley; and the winds are 100kmh in the high alpine - with a forecast freezing level (fluctuating throughout the day) to top out at potentially 2200m. Yikes! Bonne chance - you'll need steep fall line for this incoming heavy snow.

0cm overnight: but plenty to hunt today before the vis socks in and the next storm cycle starts this afternoon. It looks like there was a total huck fest on Peak yesterday eh?
