It was still above freezing at Pig Alley as I recorded this. We are due some more snow this morning and overnight tomorrow as the freezing level drops - but not large amounts.

If you're heading up for turns: expect early season conditions; it to be potentially busy; limited terrain; lots of mixed abilities; but a fantastic opportunity to build your riding muscles; have a social ski and breath some fresh mountain air. It's a long season if you stay injury free. The snow will come!

10cm on the stake this morning! We're also forecast as much as 10cm of snow in the valley later today!

WB have their first staff ski day tomorrow: 10am-2pm (last upload 1pm) and opening day is just 2 sleeps away! Do you have your gear tuned? Outerwear re-waterproofed? Are you stretching in anticipation already? Ha.

Lots covered in today's episode but unfortunately there isn't lots of snow in the forecast: maybe some dust on crust for the first ever WB staff ski day on Wednesday though! And news in this morning: the creekside Haul rope has arrived! ZING.

Unfortunately there isn't any reliable snow in the forecast for another week but warmer valley temps and sunny skies are welcome too: there's definitely some sickness circulating as we retreat indoors more!

Stilll brrrrrrr - the windchill is circa -8 this morning. The northerly outflow is due to soften overnight but then the freezing level shoots up to 3000m+ on Monday 'n' Tuesday. Sheesh!

Lotsa sunshine but no snow in the forecast - despite a 2cm dusting on the stake overnight; and apparently the Creekside Gondi cable is on?? I'll check this morning en route to the Remembrance Day service at Olympic Plaza.

Pig Alley has a reported base of 64cm and we don't have more snow in the forecast this week.

Bears are still roaming the valley; I'm not sure what the latest is on the Snow Goose; and there's no time like the present to educate oneself; refamiliarise yourself; and start building intel - with back-country info! <3

Isn't the valley gorgeous right now with this blanket of snow and those Autumnal colours poking through? Prepare for the freezing level to shoot up this arvo however! We have some cold weather incoming next week too: so eyes are peeled on the freezing level and it's potential effect on our early season snow pack! Be extra careful on the roads as you readjust to these winter conditions <3

And yes... the rumour Mill has been spinning about the Creekside Lifts...

We might have some more valley snow fall on Thursday: I've been stoked to see the base building up top and creeping it's way down Ptarmigan, Olympic, Tokum and Blackcomb's mid mountain runs! <3
