Weeks after braving the far seas, Matt returns from his Irish voyage. Between many a drinks, he met his favorite authors, sat in on plenty of panels, and met fellow fantasy fans from around the world. T'was a blast. 

Matt braves the night, and in doing so is attacked by the lovely folktale fantasy book, They Mostly Come Out at Night by Benedict Patrick. There's a ton to love about this book. So sit around the fire, cook up some s'mores, and listen along. 

Throwing his nostalgia glasses into the ocean, Matt deep dives into the surprisingly great GOGO POWER RANGERS comic series. A departure from his usual fantasy and science fiction reads, these volumes were too good not to talk about. And away we go!

Matt grabs his brass knuckles and joins up once more with Tomas and the crew. In PRIEST OF LIES, we get to travel to Dannsburg, where battles are fought with words, and weapons....well, weapons still have plenty of use. Come and join us!

In anticipation for the newly released DARK AGE by Pierce Brown, Matt re-reads IRON GOLD. It was just as glorious as Matt remembered. He lost count of the times he yelled at Darrow's idiocy and pumped his fist during Cassius' bravado. Listen with him while he dives into each POV! 

Matt is recruited by a small, creepy child to review the coolest self published book of 2019! Unfortunately that child killed me and brought me back to half-life, much like our heroes in NEVER DIE by Rob J. Hayes. This book is f'ing fun, ya'll. Check it out. 

The end of our Those series has Matt wondering why there aren't as many duology's out there in the world. A fitting ending to a high fantasy that's packed in a sweet two book punch. Say one thing for Daniel Polansky, say that the man knows how to write. Compelling, gruesome, and a damn fine read. 

After reading Daniel Polansky's "Those Above", Matt joins the rebellion to make this a world where no Polansky book goes unread! Four fantastic POV characters, creepy overlords, and scrappy street urchins. Next week we'll tackle the second half of this epic duology. 

Once he's transported to Amber, Matt tries to figure out what in the world is going on. What starts as a private eye detective story turns into a fight between numerous siblings in a far, and I mean far, away world.

As the chosen one, Matt attempted The Ember Blade head on. He didn't know if he'd survive, the awesome-ness of the book almost slayed him. But love prevailed. Love of this incredible f*cking book.
