Why buying MY new $500 dollar wetsuit is going to keep me more accountable with my workouts this winter…
Buying new shoes, fitness outfit, or a Garmin watch can help you achieve your goals in 2020...let me explain...
In my latest podcast I share my thoughts on why buying new running shoes, fitness outfits or a
tech watch can be a really good thing for you. I have been needing a new wetsuit for the last 2 seasons.
Going to the Outer Banks or even Folly Beach in January can be very cold. When I surf in the winter the air temp can be anywhere from 30-60 degrees. Always depends on the day.
BUUUUT the water temp is usually between 42-55 degrees. Now for those of you who didn’t catch that… That is hypothermic cold water. The Navy Seals are going into 60 degree water for short amounts of time- and even for them the time spent in the water is measured.
This season Santa (my wife and family) bought me a new Pantagonia wetsuit by my request.
Now I know what you might be thinking… surfing in the cold is crazy, and $500 dollars for a wetsuit… Is gold lining in that suit?
Well, the suit is made out of tree rubber and I often get a bit of rash from neoprene.
Second these wetsuits last 5-10 years… so I’ll get my moneys worth.
How this relates to you this season... if it’s a new watch, personal training sessions, shoes, fitness outfits, fitness equipment… a new bike...
If buying that thing gets you a little more excited and committed to training then buy the thing.
If you need accountability and the thing doesn’t help you follow through… then buy a service that will help you follow through.
Bottom line I want you to be more healthy in 2020… and if we can help in any way this year let us know.
