The fact that Jesus is in the boat does not mean that storms would not beat against you. It will, but be rest assured that with Him in your boat you are safe. This is the lesson the disciples learnt eventually. Jesus was sleeping in the boat and the wind and the sea were beating against their boat. Jesus was still sleeping. How could someone have sleep in the midst of storm? If you know your God nothing intimidates you. When the skills and experiences of the disciples couldn’t steer the boat any longer they went to the master for help. There are certain situations that would require the supernatural assuage it. Jesus woke up, looked at their faces and saw only fear. He questioned them,”why are you so fearful. You of little faith.” And He got up, rebuked the wind and the sea and they ceased. Glory to God. There are times, in the face of crisis, when you simply don't know what to do. Times you wished you knew this was coming and you had prepared enough. Times you realize that all you had in your bank account, all the certificates you have in your drawers, all the networks and social capital is useless in the face certain crisis. This was the case of David when he returned to Ziklag only to find his family (wives and children) taken captives by the Amalakites. They took everything and destroyed those they can't take along wiythem. It was a terrible sight for David and his men. The men sat down and all they could do was to weep bitterly. David wept, his men wept and everyone wept. Each had questions - how did this happened? Who is behind it? Are our families slaughtered or alive with those who took them captives? Have our wives been raped? Endless questions that makes a man of war to weep till he had no strength to weep more. They all began to find who to blame. David became their target to blame and to stone to death. But David, stead of finding someone to blame, encouraged himself in the Lord. Precious One, encouraging yourself in the Lord is key to maintaining your hope even though you see no light. Encouraging yourself is important in generating strength to work with God in resolving crisis. Are you in the midst of crisis? Encourage yourself. To encourage yourself is to reflect on the word of God, His promises and build assurances in your soul. If God be for you who can be against you. This podcast will bless you more.

Precious One, whether you are a believer or not, there will always be a time in one's life when retreating is cowardice, halting is disastrous and yet it is impossible to go forward. And such point in life what will you do? This was the exact case of the children of Israel when they came to the Red Sea. This is not what we bargained for? We thought God knew the way. How come we are now stark or faced with strange challenges that seems to ground us down? Moses knew one thing - with God all things are possible. He assured the children of Israel not to fret but rather be still and see the salvation of the Lord. Anyone who knows his God, in the face of challenges, will strengthen himself and do exploit. Be still (be relaxed, calm) because the Lord is your shepherd. Be still and see (or expect the salvation of the Lord). God will fight for you and you will hold your peace. Precious One, we live in a time where many are afraid for their own lives. Currently, I see both the rich and the poor are afraid. I see the educated and the uneducated also afraid. Male and female, young and old are all afraid for teir lives. But when it comes to believers and unbelievers there's a difference. He that has believed and received His Spirit has not received the spirit of bondage again to fear. Precious One, be still both in your spirit and in your mind. Are two sparrows not sold for a farthing and yet your father in heaven will not let one fall unto the ground. God asked Jeremiah to speak to the house of Israel saying, "Can't I do with you as this Potter has done with this clay?" It is a question that is supposed to set the wise thinking and reflecting. Are you hurting? Have you been trodden down? Have you been betrayed by someone you trusted so much? Have you been denied the greatest opportunity to have turned your life around? Are you losing hope for your life? Ruth and Orpah lost their husbands. Naomi lost a husband and two sons. Three women who were wives have now been disfigured with widowhood. Naomi concluded its over with her. She convinced her daughter in laws who are now widows to give up and go back to their families. This is not what these women signed for in marriage but circumstances have Marred the future they dreamt and desired. Ruth chose not to believe that it is over with her. She still wants to continue. As long as there's God and we have life we can't believe it's over at this time. Orpah returned but Ruth marched on. Ruth, a Moabitish woman now in Israel determined to work to feed herself and mother in law. Through that she met Boaz, a wealthy man. They married, gave birth to Obed. Obed gave birth to Jesse the father of David. Ruth ended up being the great grandmother of David. Isn't it beautiful? Remember, all is well when it ends well. We are the clay but He's the Potter. If the vessel of clay should get Marred in his hand in the process, He surely will make it again. God never gives up on any life unless you give up yourself. The finished vessel will always be by the vision of the Potter. The finished vessel will be by the execution of the Potter. But this same vessel will be the possession of the Potter. David was relegated to the back of the countryside. He could have concluded that God has failed him. But rather he saw it as his training time. When his training was finished he was moved to the palace. He shepherd Israel as a king. David as the king-vessel was the execution of God but he also became the possession of God. God from that time referred to David as "my servant" or "a man after my own heart". Not too long ago I met a woman who is a staunch Christian who lost her husband suddenly. She was filled with pain and endless questions for the Lord. A week after the burial of the husband she was invited to help comfort another woman who has also lost the husband. She felt it was inappropriate for someone to even think of such invitation. But God impressed on her to honor the invitation. According to her, she found her comfort in the process of comforting another person. She began to realize that she she has become a tool in the hands of the Potter to fix others who are struggling through pain and grief. She has written a book that will help unborn generations find comfort in the Lord in times of their adversities. This is the Vessel that God has raised to be a tool and the example God wants to give to mankind. This segment will bless you more.

The vessel that is in the hands of the potter may get marred yet the potter is committed to making a better vessel out of the deformed vessel. God never gives up on any life except we give up on ourselves. Jephthah was born by a prostitute so his brethren thrust him out of his father’s house. He was disenfranchised because his mother made a choice to make a living by prostitution. He was rejected and he became a wanderer. God took Jephthah in the wilderness of Tob and made him strong. Men gathered to him and he became an army commander. When war broke out between Israel and the Ammonites. Israel sought for help and they found no help elsewhere but in Jephthah and his men. This is how he became a judge in Israel. Jephthah was rejected but the potter used that to build him into a judge or ruler of Israel. You may have been ill treated - rejected, abused, hurt, crushed by people you trusted or love. Remember, the potter is making you into another but a better vessel. Don’t give up on yourself. Begin to thank God for everything. Encourage yourself in the Lord and look at how you can learn great lessons for a better tomorrow. This segment will bless you more.

As Jeremiah observed the potter at work, he noticed that the vessel which was being formed out of the clay got marred at some point. And the potter had to fix that. This means that a vessel being formed or shaped by the hand of God can be marred. Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of King Saul was born a prince. As a little boy he had a nurse who took care of him. When news broke that King Saul and his father Jonathan has been killed in battle, the nurse in haste picked him and in fear fleeing dropped the boy and he became lame. David woke up one day and desired to show kindness to the house of Saul for the sake of his friend Jonathan. None could be found but Mephibosheth. David have him the greatest privilege - to eat continually at his table. Mephibosheth replied, why pay attention to such a dead dog like me. He has lost hope in himself and devalued his life. Such are many Christians. They have been marred by the scars of broken trust, the wounds of unfaithfulness and the pain of rejection. They treat others with pain of yester years. The can’t love themselves or others because they were denied or abused in life. Humankind has a way of hurting and marring each other and yet the potter keeps working on the vessel. He is the Potter but we are the clay. Clay in itself has no attraction but very useful in making of various vessels, pots, etc. The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah - go to the potter's house and there I will speak to you a word. The prophet got there only to meet the potter at work undertaking a project. From. Where Jeremiah was standing g he could not appreciate exactly what the Potter was making out of the clay but he was sure he was doing a project, he wrought a work on the wheels. The wheels are turning around, the clay is being placed on it to shape the clay but it is the Potter who has the original design in his head and so his hand guides the vessel formation as the clay is placed on the wheels. God is the Potter. We are the Clay. But the World we live in is the wheels. The wheels of life keeps turning us around, but the hand of the Potter is taking advantage of the wheels to turn us into something beautiful. Surely, the Potter is not playing with the clay. He has a purpose. He has said, "I know the thoughts that I think towards you. Thoughts do good and not evil, to give you peace and an expected end. When you plan your life and somethings do not go according to plan know that His purpose is at play. This podcast will bless you.

Abraham sought for a city which had foundation, whose builder and maker is Jehovah. He knew there was a city like that. The city of God. No city or country has enduring foundations. Today this is city is up and tomorrow the same city is in mess. Egypt used to be a major country of wealth and power. The same with Babylon, the Greek empire, that of the Romans, etc. None has endured beyond time,recession or crisis. But the believer has entered into 'the kingdom'. Not a kingdom but the kingdom. This is the kingdom which has foundation, whose builder and maker is Jehovah. The born again has entered into Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. And there, we live and walk amongst an I numerate company of angels. (Heb 12:22). What a citizenship. Who will possess the passport of Zion and want to use illegal means to go to United Kingdom? If you understand your citizenship, the privileges and advantages it gives you, you will awake to the fact that you don't need a fraudulent marriage to gain citizenship in any country on earth. In Zion, billions of angels accompany us. Therefore we are not afraid of demonic attacks, sicknesses or diseases that spread like wild fire. Our economy is different. Though we are in this world we are not of it. What plagues people of this world cannot come near us. Elisha prayed to God to open the eyes of his servant to see that those with him are more than the Syrian army who has besieged him. The servant saw and it was an innumerable chariots of fire. Glory to God. Precious One, let your eyes be opened to see that your citizenship in Zion is all you ever needed to rule and reign in this life. This message will bless you more.

If you have been born again, you are known by heaven as the 'believer' or the 'called'. He who has called us is faithful. The One who has called us alone makes us special, unique and a blessed people. He is faithful. A faithful God has called us. How faithful is this God. Amongst the Jews, there's a better rendition of God's faithful by which standard all His people must live up to. So there's an account of a Rabbi who demonstrated faithfulness according to scripture: "Rabbi Phineas, the son of Jair, dwelt in a certain city, whither some men came who had two measures of barley, which they desired him to preserve for them. They afterwards forgot their barley and went away. Rabbi Phineas each year sowed the barley, reaped, thrashed, and laid it up in his granary. When seven years had elapsed the men returned, and desired to have the barley with which they had entrusted him. Rabbi Phineas recollected them, and said, 'Come and take your treasure,' i.e. the barley they had left, with all that it had produced for seven years - hundred of bags of barley. Thus, from the faithfulness of the disciple we may know the faithfulness of God." Whatever is entrusted to God does not remain the same. In 7 years we will be 100 times more blessed. Though our beginning is small our latter end will be greater. This is why we cannot be afraid of the future. Not only that. God called us for a purpose - to make us partakers or associates with His Son Jesus, our Lord. What does this mean? It means God's inheritance, He has called us to co-own it with His son. Its like a rich man saying, "I have an only Son but my riches are so much I need you to join my son to spend it". Isn't this beautiful?
