Rev. Lee introduces the Canons of Dort and demonstrates that 37 + 129 ≠ 5, or in other words, the five points of the Synod of Dort are not a useful summary of Calvinism or the Reformed Faith. This series will look at the importance of "contending for the faith once and for all delivered to the saints."

Rev. Lee looks at how the types and shadows of Psalm 80 (God as Shepherd of Israel, and as a Vinedresser) are fulfilled in the realities of Jesus Christ, who is the Good Shepherd and the True Vine.

We take a look at this sermon at the imprecatory prayers in the psalter, and consider how they reveal the mercy and justice of God, especially when viewed in the light of the cross.

Psalm 78 is the longest psalm in the bible, with the exception of Psalm 119, which is an acrostic poem. It also contains the central verse in the Psalter, Psalm 78:36. It is also the central psalm of the "Psalms of Asaph" collection.

Rev. Lee looks at how Psalm 78 teaches us the importance of knowing and understanding our covenant history with God.

Rev. Lee teaches us how our Creed hold forth the Christian hope for the future in the bodily resurrection.

Our creed is not only doctrinal but liturgical. The work of the Spirit in gathering and sanctifying a church is focused on word and sacrament, and those two elements are both a focus in the Nicene Creed.
