  • Big spike in number of older women couch surfing, sleeping in their cars
Australia's affordable housing crisis is often portrayed as a competition between younger renters and older homeowners. There are calls for more training for teachers to help them deal with problematic sexual behaviour in primary schools. A sensational leak of a transcript of a phone call between President Trump and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's been met with disappointment by the Government. The World Today's Nick Grimm speaks with Pulitzer-prize winning investigative reporter David Cay Johnston, the author of an unauthorised biography of Donald Trump. He calls the transcript of the conversation between the US President and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull 'astonishing' and says the President clearly didn't understand the terms of the asylum seeker deal made by the Obama administration. Johnston also discusses the grand jury reportedly empanelled by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian interference in the 2016 US election. He expects the counsel to investigate alleged money laundering facilitated by Mr Trump over decades.

The stand-off comes after three days of protests inside the centre against attempts to force refugees to move out. Detainees say a large group of local police and centre guards are being directed by Australian Federal Police and Border Force officers as to how to close the compounds progressively and move the men to a transit centre near the main town of Lorengau.
