Scientists say it's rare to find such an intact fossil of the sauropod dinosaur. But what's even more extraordinary is that this dig also reveals what these prehistoric creatures were eating around 95 million years ago.

  • NBN announces new wholesale plans boosting download allowance for satellite users
    There's some relief in sight for rural Australians who've been frustrated by download limits on the National Broadband Network's satellite service. NBN has just announced it's doubling the maximum peak download allowance from 75 gigabytes per month to 150. But the wholesaler warns not everyone will be able to access this. The average download allowance at peak times for each of the 75,000 users of the Sky Muster satellites will increase from 30 gigabytes per month to 45. Retail service providers are being urged to pass on the increase when the new wholesale plans are released in October.

    In Britain, the scandal surrounding the Grenfell Tower inferno continues to grow. All 75 high-rise buildings examined in the wake of the fire have now failed safety tests. The towers all have exterior cladding, which is suspected of aiding the spread and potentially intensity of the Grenfell Tower blaze. It's left some residents fearing for their safety and has led to the evacuation of several thousand people in part of north London.

  • The body of Spanish artist Salvador Dali to be exhumed to allow DNA paternity test
    The body of Spanish artist Salvador Dali is to be exhumed, to allow DNA tests in a paternity case. A Spanish tarot card reader, Maria Pilar Abel, claims she's the only biological daughter Dali had, and a court has ordered his exhumation. The surrealist artist died in 1989 and left his entire estate to the Spanish state. But the foundation set up to administer it has vowed to fight the court order.

    A secret audio recording of Senior Government Minister Christopher Pyne at a private Liberal Party function has been leaked to the media. Minister Pyne can be heard saying he voted for Malcolm Turnbull in every leadership ballot and that same sex marriage will be legalised sooner than expected. Former prime minister Tony Abbott isn't impressed with the comments.
