  • Start-ups plan for success and disruption, not for corporate culture: management expert
The scandal surrounding the toxic corporate culture inside global ride-sharing giant Uber has seen a succession of senior personnel head out the door. CEO and founder Travis Kalanick himself has gone on indefinite leave, as those left behind at the organisation try to reform deeply entrenched work practises that tolerated sexual harassment and worker retaliation. Speaking with The World Today's Nick Grimm, Dr Andrew Hughes from the ANU's Research School of Management says that start-up company founders often find it hard to let go of control of the company but have little or no experience of working effectively with staff.

Experts say the focus should be developing programs for these children, not debating whether they should be medicated.
