South African Cinema is a piece of world cinema that deserves more appreciation today. With actors and filmmakers making their mark in South Africa as well as crossing over to Hollywood, the locales and history of the country are depicted in various films and television works on both a local and international level. For this debut episode, WorldFilmGeek speaks with local actor/producer Christopher Jaftha ("The Hex/Heks") about the importance of South African cinema. I start the podcast with a greeting in Afrikaans, but don't worry, the podcast is in English :)
