Haitian missionaries prayed about escape timing

Christian Aid Ministries based in Ohio held a press conference yesterday on the escape of the remaining 12 missionary hostages held by kidnappers in Haiti

As the Christian believers were captured they sang out Psalm 347 It says The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him and delivereth them

The hostages were kept in one group during their captivity and spentmany hours of each day praying singing and encouraging each other Without the benefit of having a Bible they still recited Bible verses by memory

They also prayed for their Haitian captors and told them about Gods love and their need to repent

Christians face discrimination from secular intolerance that seeks to eliminate Christianity from the public square as well as from Islamic oppression that engages in more direct and even violent attacks

Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in dissent The States executive decree clearly interferes with the free exercise of religionand does so seemingly based on nothing more than fear and anger at those who harbor unpopular religious beliefs
