  • Yet 11 - Build the plane while you're flying it with Becca Campbell

This episode is packed with inspirational advice, tactical guidance, and entrepreneurial wisdom from business owner Becca Campbell.

Becca and her husband Chad have successfully launched multiple business, learning as they go, and have helped countless others along the way.

Her first company, Little Z's Sleep Consulting, was created in 2015 out of a personal need when she had her first daughter. Since then she has helped tens of thousands of families resolve exhausting sleep habits, and now she's a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, helping so many parents make sleep a thing.

Since then, she's also coached other sleep consultants, and she's helped other business owners create their own online courses.

With their latest venture, Becca and Chad are doing even more to help content creators Teach Well Online.

Becca has always been entrepreneurial, even as a kid.

She's always willing to try something new, and she's learned that her best work happens when she starts pursuing an idea, and figures out the details along the way.

She encourages you to get going with your thing, and she reminds us that if we wait until we have it all figured out, we'll never make any progress.

  • Yet 10 - From journey to job - pursuing wellness with Carrie Murphy

On this episode, I'm excited to introduce you to my friend Carrie, one of the most inspirational people I've ever met.

    Carrie wasn't athletic in school.

She wasn't into sports, and fitness and wellness were not regular topics of thought for her.

But as an adult, she began to recognize a joy deficiency in her life. Something had to change, and she recognized that her mental and physical wellness was a big part of the formula.

She started small, but she started.

She got a Fitbit, and started with about 500 steps a day. Today, she leads 20 members of her Fit Fam crew, and inspires countless others to be their best selves.

Listen as Carrie and I discuss:

    • Her personal journey of going from "just surviving" to thriving in her personal life
    • The power of habits - how small steps add up to big results
    • the progression of transforming her journey to her job

    • Yet 9 - Jumpstart your goal: get it out in the open

I'll never forget the first time I said it out loud.

      "I'm writing a book."

It felt at the same time completely foreign and totally natural coming out of my mouth.

But it was one of the most pivotal steps I've taken on my writing journey.

Whether you're an aspiring writer, a budding entrepreneur, creative visionary, or a goal-minded individual, bringing your work out into the open brings with it amazing benefits.

It can springboard your success and help unlock your potential.

On this empowering episode, I discuss the value of getting your goal, idea, or side hustle out in the open. One of the first steps to transforming your goals into tangible success is telling other people about what you're working on.

At first, it can be terrifying. Your thing is brand new, you're struggling with imposter syndrome and wondering how you'll ever accomplish the big goal you've dreamed up. Who can write an entire book, or start a business from scratch?

But when you bring it out to the open, some amazing things happen:

      1. It legitimizes your work. It makes it real, both to you and to your hearers.

      2. It identifies who your allies are. Those people who lean in, who can encourage you to keep going.

      3. It invites encouragement, feedback, and accountability - three critical ingredients for any goal, whether it's a new book, a startup business, or anything else.

Invite others in - there's so much value in community.

Want to supercharge your goals? I've created a simple formula that can help you get started, and keep going.

    • Bonus Episode - A preview of my novel

      Bonus Episode!

Yet listeners know that for the past ~5 months, I've been working on my first novel.

Many of you have asked on social media and elsewhere for an update and a preview of the book.

I have completed the first draft, and am entering into the self-editing process. This is all brand new for me, but I'm having a lot of fun and learning a ton as I go.

On this bonus episode, listen as I read an excerpt of my manuscript - words that just might end up being the introduction to the book.

This is a story about friendship, and about growing up. It' s a work of fiction, but it's loosely based on my experience as a young man, under the warm Virginia sun, catching smallmouth bass with my best friends on a stretch of the James River at the intersection and in the shadow of towering mountain peaks.

As you listen, I hope you get a feel for what I believe is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and one of the most formative seasons of life.
