Roland 100% carries this episode, and he does it so well that the lads both landed on a solid "like" for an episode that would have faltered more with a lesser actor and character at the fore-front of the action. Roland is all heart. Look too closely at the plot and the mustache-twirling scientists motivations become a bit inconceivable. A couple of plot brush-ups (around the antagonists) and you have an A-class episode, but as it stands, it's not a list topper.

"Born Again" is not a very good episode and one largely forgotten by the masses. Poor man's Tony Danza getting tossed out of a window is just the beginning of a string of unlikable cop deaths. It's an X-File, but has been done better in prior episodes. It feels rushed and pointless. A solid DISLIKE all around.

For once Dean doesn't have to misremember the episode and 13 year-old Josh fist-pumps at the mention of caltrops. Ben Prugh does Josh's homework again while Dean toils away in the trenches.

This episode may not compel you with the power of "Gawd" but it's an easy watch, and despite a real lack of motivation that makes much sense, there is plenty to like with Miracle Man, just don't expect it to top any "best" or "favorite" X-Files episode lists.

This is a perfect example of outstanding execution with a tight and well-planned script. The lads imagine what this episode would look like from Ranheim's position, and they reflect on the classic nature of the "transporting dangerous cargo" story. Outside of some logistical inconsistencies in travel planning, and a miss in the early part of the investigation, it's clearly excellent television. The lads also heap praise upon the Iraqi pilot who managed a kill, but lament the unfortunate journey of an advanced alien that traveled to Earth, only to be shot down by the less-than-formidable Iraqi Air Force.

Why can no one remember this episode...? Is it the Mandela Effect? Is it a rift into a multiverse?
