The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Bonnie Vent, internationally known medium, channeler, spiritual researcher and self-described “Spirit Advocate,” for one of the more remarkable interviews in The 'X' Zone archives. Bonnie has more than 20 years of experience investigating paranormal phenomena and says she has received communications from deceased public figures including Michael Jackson, George Carlin and Steve Irwin. Her work has included historical paranormal research, psychic detective work and documentaries examining alleged communication with the dead. This conversation centres on legendary Australian wildlife conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin, “The Crocodile Hunter.” Bonnie says that only hours after Irwin's sudden death in September 2006, she received what she believed was an after-death communication from him. She later went public with the experience and says she attempted to deliver a message from Irwin to his widow, Terri Irwin. Bonnie's website states that information relating to the claimed communication was provided to Rob McConnell before their interview, allowing Rob to examine the material before discussing it with her on the air. During this extraordinary interview, Rob questions Bonnie about mediumship, channeling, spirit communication, evidence of survival after death and how a medium might distinguish genuine communication from imagination or personal expectation. Bonnie describes herself not merely as a psychic medium but as a Spirit Advocate—someone who believes she can receive information from deceased individuals and help communicate what they want the living to know. Her claims about Steve Irwin represent her personal paranormal experiences and have not been scientifically established as communication with Irwin. Join Rob McConnell and Bonnie Vent on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for a fascinating examination of one of humanity's greatest mysteries: Does consciousness survive physical death? Did Bonnie Vent genuinely receive a message from Steve Irwin from beyond the grave, or might there be another explanation for what she experienced? Whatever conclusion listeners reach, this memorable X Zone interview provides an opportunity to examine the evidence, challenge the claims and decide for themselves whether The Crocodile Hunter may have had one final message to deliver.

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Bradley Lockerman, filmmaker, writer, director and executive producer of the 2009 documentary The John Searl Story. Lockerman created BKL Films and Keepers of the Earth LLC to bring the extraordinary story of British inventor John Roy Robert Searl to the screen. The documentary chronicles Searl's life and his controversial claims surrounding the Searl Effect Generator (SEG)—a magnetic device Searl maintained could produce energy and, under certain conditions, demonstrate extraordinary anti-gravity or “levity” effects. Lockerman had been investigating Searl's work since 1994, describing the inventor's account as one of the wildest stories he had ever encountered. According to Searl, ideas that eventually led to his technology began with recurring childhood dreams and later developed into experiments involving specially arranged magnetic rings and rollers. Searl claimed that some experimental devices unexpectedly lifted from the ground and flew away—claims that inspired comparisons with UFO-like flying discs and unconventional propulsion systems. The John Searl Story uses interviews, historical material and dramatic reconstruction to examine Searl's life, his alleged generator, his “Law of the Squares,” and attempts to reconstruct the controversial technology. Lockerman served as the film's director, writer, executive producer and director of photography. The documentary includes Searl himself along with engineer and computer specialist Fernando Morris, John A. Thomas Jr., and Richard Vere Compton, identified in the credits as a witness to Searl technology. Join Rob McConnell and Bradley Lockerman on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for a journey into free-energy claims, magnetism, unconventional propulsion, UFO-like craft and one inventor's extraordinary vision of a radically different energy future. Searl's claims remain controversial and have not been established by mainstream experimental physics, making the central question posed by Lockerman's documentary especially appropriate for The 'X' Zone: Was John Searl a visionary inventor decades ahead of conventional science—or is the remarkable Searl Effect Generator a technological dream still waiting for convincing proof? Rob's interview with Lockerman on The John Searl Story is also documented as an episode of The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show.

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Brett Carstens, better known through his paranormal work as The Casual Psychic and later The Haunted Medium. Brett says his experiences with the unexplained began during a haunted childhood, leaving him with an open mind toward ghosts, psychic phenomena and the possibility that reality contains far more than we ordinarily perceive. His unusual upbringing eventually inspired him to explore what he describes as his own psychic and mediumistic abilities. Brett's life hasn't been confined to the paranormal. His background includes work in visual arts, television production and teaching, but his fascination with unexplained phenomena remained with him. He describes himself as clairvoyant, clairaudient and empathic and says he can perceive and communicate with ghosts, angels and other entities. Brett also reports performing what he calls spirit rescue, attempting to help spirits he believes remain earthbound move on. These experiences represent Brett's personal spiritual interpretation of paranormal phenomena rather than scientifically established abilities. One of the more unusual aspects of Brett's story is how he combines the paranormal with his love of motorcycle travel. He has taken extended solo motorcycle journeys searching for unusual locations and paranormal experiences, recording his travels and transforming the footage into material for his Casual Psychic YouTube channel. Rather than remaining inside supposedly haunted houses waiting for something to happen, Brett takes his investigation on the road—visiting locations, opening himself to whatever he believes may be present and attempting communication with the unseen. Join Rob McConnell and Brett Carstens on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for a fascinating journey into haunted childhood experiences, psychic development, ghosts, angels, spirit communication and paranormal investigation. Brett's story raises questions ideally suited to The 'X' Zone: Can childhood encounters with the unexplained shape the way someone perceives reality for the rest of their life? Are psychic experiences evidence of something beyond our conventional senses—or can they be explained in other ways? And when someone says they can communicate with the dead, how do we separate belief, personal experience and demonstrable evidence?

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Brian Bagnall for a provocative discussion about government, democracy, individual liberty, political accountability, and his proposal for “The New Constitution.” Bagnall's appearance is documented in The 'X' Zone guest archives under the subject The New Constitution, placing this conversation squarely within the show's tradition of challenging conventional political thinking and examining alternative ideas about how nations should be governed. At the centre of the conversation is a fundamental question: Does the political system adequately serve the people it was created to represent? Bagnall examines constitutional government not simply as words written on paper, but as an agreement defining the relationship between citizens and those entrusted with political power. His ideas invite discussion about representation, individual rights, government accountability, taxation, political institutions, and whether constitutional reform could return greater authority to ordinary citizens. Rob and Brian explore what it would actually mean to rethink the foundations of government. Constitutions are intended to establish institutions, distribute political authority and place limits on the exercise of governmental power. Yet changing such a fundamental document raises difficult questions of its own: Who decides what should change? How do we prevent one political faction from rewriting the rules for its own benefit? And how can individual freedoms be protected while still allowing government to function effectively? Join Rob McConnell and Brian Bagnall on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for a spirited examination of democracy, freedom, political power and constitutional reform. Whether you agree with Bagnall's proposals or strongly oppose them, the larger question remains worth asking: If citizens believe their political system is no longer working as intended, should they simply change their elected representatives—or is there a point when they need to reconsider the system itself?

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Brian David Andersen, researcher, author, inventor, and longtime X Zone guest, for a wide-ranging discussion about earth changes, earthquakes, volcanoes, lunar cycles, conspiracy theories, and the controversial concept of a New World Order. Andersen became a regular contributor to The 'X' Zone, examining earthquake and volcanic activity and looking for possible correlations between the dates, locations and magnitudes of seismic events and the cycles of the Moon. During his appearances, Andersen explored whether apparently unrelated natural events might reveal larger patterns. Could lunar gravitational forces play a role in when earthquakes or volcanic eruptions occur? Are periods of increased geological activity predictable, or are apparent patterns simply coincidence? While scientists recognize that the Moon's gravity produces measurable tidal forces on Earth, accurately predicting individual earthquakes remains beyond current science. Andersen nevertheless tracked seismic events and lunar cycles in an attempt to identify correlations he believed deserved further investigation. The conversation also moves into considerably more controversial territory as Rob and Brian examine New World Order theories, global political power, secretive organizations, government institutions and claims about forces supposedly operating behind major world events. Andersen has published material advancing sweeping conspiracy allegations involving governments, intelligence organizations, financial and religious institutions. Such claims remain disputed and should be distinguished from independently established historical evidence, but they provide plenty of material for the probing questions and spirited debate for which The 'X' Zone is known. Andersen's interests extend into one of America's most enduring mysteries—the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He authored My God, I'm Hit! and produced a 2011 documentary of the same name, presenting his own highly unconventional interpretation of the events surrounding Kennedy's assassination. Join Rob McConnell and Brian David Andersen on The 'X' Zone Radio Show as they explore earth changes, conspiracy theories, political power and unanswered questions—and ask where legitimate investigation ends and speculation begins.

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Tara Greene, professional Tarot consultant, astrologer, intuitive, spiritual teacher, artist, and transformational psychotherapist. Tara has worked professionally with Tarot and astrology for more than three decades, combining Tarot cards, astrology, numerology, intuition, dream interpretation, and other metaphysical traditions in her consultations. Her philosophy emphasizes personal empowerment rather than fatalistic predictions—she describes the reader's role as that of an objective mirror helping people better understand themselves and the choices before them. Tara's background extends well beyond traditional fortune-telling. She is an honours graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, a certified holistic transformational psychotherapist, a certified Tarot initiate, and a certified past-life regression therapist. Her studies have also included shamanic traditions, Reiki and acupressure. Through her work, Tara explores the connections she sees between psychology, symbolism, spirituality, creativity and human consciousness. During this fascinating conversation, Rob and Tara venture into the mysterious worlds of Tarot, astrology, psychic intuition, synchronicity, numerology, dreams, past lives, spiritual guides and divination. Tara views Tarot not simply as a means of predicting events but as a symbolic system through which people can examine their lives, relationships and possible futures. Her private consultations combine Tarot, astrology, numerology and intuition, while her broader work includes dream interpretation, workshops and spiritual coaching. Tara and Rob McConnell also share a long history through The 'X' Zone. In a testimonial preserved in the show's archives, Tara says she has known and worked with Rob since July 2006, describing their interviews as engaging explorations of alternative ideas and dimensions. Join Rob McConnell and Tara Greene on The 'X' Zone Radio Show as they shuffle the cards, look toward the heavens and explore one of humanity's oldest questions: Can ancient systems such as Tarot and astrology genuinely tell us something meaningful about ourselves—and perhaps illuminate the road ahead?

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes back Lynn Monét, author, paranormal consultant, lecturer, radio personality, nurse, and death doula whose work explores hauntings, dying, death, consciousness, and the possibility of an afterlife. Lynn brings an unusual combination of professional healthcare experience and deeply personal paranormal experiences to the conversation. She has spent more than three decades in nursing, much of it involving geriatrics, management, and end-of-life care, and she also holds a degree in biological science. Lynn is best known as the author of the Omnipresent series, which recounts what she describes as terrifying paranormal events surrounding a home she purchased for herself and her family. According to Lynn, the activity was so disturbing that her family was never able to live normally in the house. Her books include Omnipresent, Omnipresent: What Happened Next, Omnipresent: Becca Dawn Drive and Colors of Heaven: Beginnings Never End. Her official website also lists The Gap: What Else Your Adolescent and Teen Needs to Know and a further Omnipresent installment. What makes Lynn's story particularly fascinating for The 'X' Zone is the intersection between her years working around death and dying and her belief that consciousness does not necessarily end when the physical body dies. Lynn describes herself as an empath capable of perceiving what she believes are interdimensional frequencies and has investigated hauntings, apparitions, otherworldly entities, and unusual experiences associated with death. These are Lynn's interpretations of her experiences rather than scientifically established conclusions, but they provide fascinating material for examining one of humanity's oldest questions: What, if anything, happens when we die? Join Rob McConnell and Lynn Monét on The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show for a journey through haunted encounters, deathbed experiences, consciousness, spirits, the paranormal, and the mysteries surrounding life's final transition. Lynn has previously joined Rob to discuss dying, death and the afterlife, including a 2026 conversation examining what her experiences as a nurse and death doula have taught her about compassion, mortality and the possibility of existence beyond physical death. Is death truly the end—or could it simply be the doorway to something we have yet to understand?

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Dr. Grandmaster Ze, spiritual teacher, philosopher, visionary, and founder of Star Doves, for a thought-provoking conversation about spirituality, consciousness, inner peace, and humanity's potential to create a more compassionate world. Through Star Doves, Grandmaster Ze promotes a philosophy centred on personal transformation, kindness, mindfulness, spiritual awareness, and the idea that meaningful global change must first begin within the individual. During his conversation with Rob, Grandmaster Ze explores the relationship between inner awareness and the world around us. His teachings encourage people to examine their own thoughts, actions, relationships, and sense of purpose while developing greater understanding and respect for others. Star Doves presents individual spiritual growth as a foundation from which families, communities, and ultimately society itself can become more peaceful and harmonious. Rob and Grandmaster Ze venture into subjects that have long fascinated listeners of The 'X' Zone—including higher consciousness, meditation, metaphysics, universal principles, self-discovery, personal empowerment, spiritual awakening, and humanity's evolving understanding of its place in the universe. Grandmaster Ze discusses overcoming personal limitations and cultivating greater balance while considering how spiritual principles might be practically incorporated into everyday life. Join Rob McConnell and Dr. Grandmaster Ze on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for an exploration of consciousness, compassion, spirituality, and the search for meaning in an increasingly complicated world. Can changing ourselves ultimately help change the world? Can inner peace contribute to global peace? And might humanity's greatest transformation begin not with governments or institutions, but within each of us?

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Bruce Goldwell, author, Vietnam veteran, entrepreneur, and inspirational writer whose remarkable personal story took him from nearly a decade of homelessness to becoming a published author with ambitions of bringing his fantasy creations to the motion-picture screen. Goldwell has said that health and personal difficulties left him homeless for roughly ten years, including time spent on the streets of Los Angeles. During those years, he regularly visited bookstores and studied self-help material, searching for ideas that might help him rebuild his life. Goldwell eventually began writing, publishing his first book, The Door to Super Achievement, in 2005. He followed it with The Power of Choice and then turned his attention toward young readers with the fantasy adventure series Dragon Keepers. The first installment, Honor of the Tome, follows a young Merlin as he becomes a Dragon Keeper and assumes responsibility for Dracon, the newborn son of the powerful dragon Merlineld. Goldwell incorporated personal-development and success principles into his fantasy stories, hoping young readers could learn lessons that might help them avoid some of the hardships he experienced. At the time of Goldwell's original appearance on The 'X' Zone, his story was promoted under the extraordinary headline “Former Homeless Man Now Has a Movie Deal.” Early promotional material for Dragon Keepers stated that Goldwell had connected with a co-producer and was pursuing a film adaptation. Later updates show that the road to Hollywood proved considerably longer than initially anticipated: by 2009 he was still working to connect with Hollywood insiders, and in 2023 he was seeking partners to help bring Dragon Keepers and Starfighters Defending Earth to the screen. The X Zone guest archive preserves the original “movie deal” description of his appearance. Join Rob McConnell and Bruce Goldwell on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for an inspiring conversation about homelessness, determination, writing, fantasy, dragons, personal transformation, and refusing to abandon a dream simply because circumstances appear impossible. Goldwell's journey poses a powerful question: When life knocks you all the way down, can imagination, persistence, and belief in a better future provide the first steps toward getting back up? His story demonstrates, at the very least, just how dramatically a person's next chapter can differ from the one that came before it.

Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes Bruce F. Rosen, award-winning writer, journalist, financial professional, and author of the deeply personal memoir If You Ever Need Me, I Won’t Be Far Away. Rosen has written professionally for decades, with work appearing in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, and Asian Week. His writing has also reached the BBC, while an essay about his childhood baseball hero Sandy Koufax was featured by the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rosen holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from UC Santa Barbara and a master's degree in international relations from San Francisco State University. At the emotional heart of Rosen's memoir is his extraordinary relationship with his mother, Alma Lorraine Rosen, to whom the book is dedicated. Alma was known for what she and others regarded as psychic abilities and supported her family in part by giving tea-leaf readings. Rosen recounts that she read for people from many walks of life, including celebrities such as Marlon Brando. For Bruce, however, her greatest gift was not prediction but the love, compassion, guidance, and sense of joy that continued to influence him long after her death. If You Ever Need Me, I Won’t Be Far Away travels far beyond the story of a mother and son. Rosen reflects upon the breakdown of his 25-year marriage, fatherhood, an abusive relationship with his own father and his eventual decision to forgive, friendship, loss, spirituality, music, politics, economics, and extensive travels around the world. He also examines the intriguing question of fate versus free will—how much of our lives do we actually choose, and how much seems to unfold along a path we could never have anticipated? Join Rob McConnell and Bruce F. Rosen on The 'X' Zone Radio Show for a conversation about family, psychic experiences, love, loss, forgiveness, fate, spirituality, and finding joy after life changes in ways we never expected. Rosen's message ultimately comes back to something remarkably simple: the people we love may leave our physical lives, but what they gave us can remain profoundly present. And behind the title is a beautiful promise from a mother to her son: If You Ever Need Me, I Won’t Be Far Away. Rosen's original conversation with Rob is preserved in The 'X' Zone archives.
