The X-Foils Podcast: Case #31
On this episode, I sit down with my good friend Eric Braojos during our car ride from El Cuyo to Cancun while at an event with Shaka Vibes called the mayan wind fest, for a laid-back chat about his watersports journey and how he fell in love with foiling in Puerto Rico. Initially, he wasn’t too stoked on just “mowing the lawn” on a foil, but once he got a taste of foiling in the surf, everything changed.
Eric is not just a solid foiler and all round good advocate for the sport—he’s also the North & Mystic sales rep for the East Coast, Mexico, and the Caribbean. That goes hand in hand with traveling to watersports events to spread the stoke (and, let’s be honest, have a good time), that I get invited to from time to time.
We give a run down on the Foil Surf Race League. This weekend in cocoa beach with Good Breeze.

We dive into his personal foiling journey and explore Lift’s role in taking their efoil line to the next level. The introduction of the Lift5 and the LiftX—an efoil/foil assist geared towards surf—steals the spotlight for us as its more ranged at the high performance surf. But the real game-changer is the product overhaul. With a new click-in, snap-on design, Lift has eliminated cables and tools, making it arguably the easiest electric foil to put together on the market.
All your Foils are still all crossed over if you are a lift rider. But the mast, batterie is all new for this year Lift5 and LiftX
