    Episode Description
In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I share why your support system plays such a vital role in both your results and your relationship with the weight loss process itself. We talk about what it means to take an inside/out approach, how to use food and movement preferences as your anchor, and why mindset is the foundation underneath every action you take. I also offer a challenge to both fitness professionals and community members to lead from a place of calm confidence instead of anxious urgency. If you’ve ever felt like your results aren’t just about what you do but how you feel while doing it, this one’s for you.

    Episode Description:
What if the weight loss plan you’re following isn’t one you’d actually want to stick with for life? In this episode, I talk about how true maintenance and sustainable results only come when you build a foundation based on your preferences. We often see maintenance as a distant dream, but the truth is it shouldn’t look much different than the day-to-day process you’re following now.

I walk through how to evaluate your current routine by asking one simple but powerful question... could you and would you want to do this for the rest of your life? If the answer is no, that’s your signal to pivot toward something more sustainable. This episode will help you strip away timelines, let go of short-term thinking, and start building something you’ll actually want to maintain.

We also cover why most people who lose weight eventually backslide, and how having a preference-based foundation gives you something steady to fall back on when life happens. Whether you’ve lost weight and regained it, or you’re just trying to find a better way, this conversation is all about helping you create something you can stick with long term.

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m talking about one of the most important truths in your fitness journey. You are the expert on you. Social media, family, and even well-meaning friends love to share opinions about how you should lose weight or live healthier, but no headline or influencer can know your body, your preferences, or your life better than you do. I share why it’s so crucial to build your health and fitness approach around what you truly enjoy, how you can filter outside noise without shutting yourself off from support, and why maintenance is simply an extension of what already works for you. This journey is yours to shape, and your own experience is the most reliable guide you have.

What fuels your workouts? In this episode, I dig into the powerful emotions that might be driving your efforts in the gym and in life. Are you working out because you’re angry, trying to prove someone wrong, or chasing a revenge body? I’ve been there, too, and I’m sharing my own experiences growing up with CP and how anger used to fuel me. But there’s another way. I talk about why working from a calm, deliberate mindset is the real secret to long-term progress and peace. Let’s explore how to channel your emotions without letting them control you so you can build sustainable habits and truly enjoy the journey from the inside/out.

Losing weight and living an active lifestyle might sound simple, but it’s so much more than just logic and willpower. In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m diving into the real reason so many people struggle to “just do it.” It’s not that you don’t want it enough, it’s that you’re battling two sides of yourself…the logical part that knows what actions to take and the emotional part that’s often ignored in mainstream fitness messaging.

I’m sharing how emotions around food, body image, and self-worth are not weaknesses but real parts of your journey that deserve attention. We talk about how powerful it is to sit in silence, connect with your thoughts, and begin to untangle where those critical inner voices came from. I’ll also walk you through simple practices like journaling and mirror work to help you speak positively to yourself and reshape how you see your reflection, inside and out.

This episode is all about learning to calm your mind so that the actions you take in fitness and health feel sustainable and genuine. It’s not just knowing what to do, it’s creating the mindset and inner connection so you can finally do it.

If you’re ready to approach fitness from the inside/out, there are plenty of resources waiting for you, whether you want to explore on your own or work together for more guidance. Let’s keep building a lifestyle you enjoy and can stick with for the long run.

    Episode Description:

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m talking about why so many of us end up chasing things outside of ourselves, trying to fit in or prove something, and how that path often leads to emptiness. From a young age, we’re conditioned to look around and see what everyone else is doing. Social media makes it even easier to fall into this trap, feeding us images and stories that make us question our own path or feel we need to “one-up” someone else.

But here’s the thing. The people we’re trying so hard to impress or fit in with are often just as caught up trying to impress someone else. It’s a cycle that leaves us anxious, restless, and disconnected from who we really are. Even if you “make it” into the in-crowd or hit a goal you were chasing for the wrong reasons, you’ll likely find it feels empty. And then you’re left searching for the next thing, thinking that’s where you’ll finally feel good enough.

Instead, I want you to choose yourself. I want you to stay connected to who you are and focus on building a life that truly feels right to you. That’s what living from the inside/out is all about. It’s about quieting the noise, taking ownership of your life, and learning that the highest form of discipline isn’t just working out or eating well. It’s choosing to love, accept, and connect with yourself, even when the world around you says you shouldn’t.

Health and fitness are great places to practice these skills, but they’re not the end goal. The real goal is building a life where you feel calm, steady, and in control because you’re living for yourself, not for anyone else’s expectations.

    Episode Description:

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m digging into a big challenge that so many of us face, especially in the fitness space. It’s that endless loop of worrying about what other people are doing, thinking, or achieving. I’m not here to simply tell you to “stop comparing yourself” because we all know it’s not that easy. Instead, I want you to do it less. Even reducing it a little bit can make a huge difference in how you feel about your own journey.

We talk about why we get so caught up in other people’s actions and how that’s often tied to our own insecurities. If you find yourself fixated on what someone else is doing, ask yourself why. This is a powerful place to start. You deserve to know the reasons behind your own thoughts and feelings because they shape the actions you take.

So much of fitness, and life, is driven by mindset. The physical actions matter, but connecting deeply with your own thoughts and emotions takes your progress to another level. That’s what living an inside/out life is all about. I want you to build a life where you appreciate, like, and love yourself at every stage, not just when you hit certain goals.

If this resonates with you, make sure you subscribe to the show. Check out all the resources I have for you, from the daily email to the YLF Framework and even coaching options if you want more one-on-one support. This journey is about more than just results, it’s about how you feel along the way. I’d love to help you make it a process you actually enjoy.

Thanks for being here and keep doing your best… I’m rooting for you!

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m diving into one of the most overlooked skills for living a forever active lifestyle, and that’s getting comfortable cooking your own food at home. You don’t need to be a gourmet chef or create perfect meals for Instagram. It’s all about knowing what you like and finding simple ways to prepare it so you’ll actually want to eat it consistently. I talk about my journey from eating out all the time to learning basic meal prep, experimenting with new recipes, and discovering how seasoning alone can transform a meal. I share how I’ve moved from bland meal prep to prepping versatile components I can mix and match, plus how having foods like baked potatoes or frozen meals can still fit into a balanced approach. Cooking at home gives you more control over portions, ingredients, and overall nutrition, which helps whether you’re losing weight or maintaining your results. It takes time, but it’s a skill worth developing for your inside/out lifestyle.

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m talking about why you shouldn’t believe everything you think, especially when it comes to fitness goals, healthy eating, and building an inside/out life. I share how journaling helps me see my thoughts more clearly and how writing things down allows you to observe your mindset without so much judgment. The more we can step back and evaluate our thoughts, the better we’ll get at spotting blind spots and making calmer, more deliberate choices in our fitness journey and everyday life. Therapy helps too, but it all starts with simply getting your thoughts out of your head and looking at them with curiosity. Remember, the goal isn’t to be perfect but to stay aware, learn, and keep moving forward.
