Episode Description:
In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m digging into one of the most important pieces of the YLF Framework… setting up your daily and weekly goals in a way that actually supports your confidence and momentum.
Instead of trying to stretch yourself thin with every goal you set, I want you to consider this… what if you set goals that you expect to exceed? What if your actions each day were comfortably within your capabilities, and you built momentum through consistency rather than intensity?
This episode is short, but it focuses on a foundational part of what makes the inside/out process work. You don’t need to step outside of your comfort zone to make progress. You need to build confidence in showing up. And when you start building goals that are realistic and repeatable, you create long-term sustainability.
As your comfort level grows, your goals will naturally evolve. But the process of trusting yourself, following through, and reinforcing your ability to execute… that stays the same. This is how we build a lifestyle, not just chase outcomes.
Let me know what your minimum daily actions are and how you're setting up your week. I’d love to hear from you. Email me anytime at [email protected].

Episode Description
In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m breaking down the popular phrase “just be one percent better every day.” While it can be super effective for building momentum in the beginning of your journey, especially when you’re seeing lots of early wins, it starts to wear thin over time. Improvement becomes harder to spot, and that can mess with your motivation if that’s the only thing you’re focused on.
Instead of chasing progress for the sake of daily wins, I want to help you shift toward something more sustainable. I talk about looking for wins everywhere, without pressuring yourself to find improvement every single day. This approach allows you to stay consistent, appreciate your wins when they happen, and recognize opportunities for growth when they come up.
I also talk about how this plays out with weight loss, especially after the “early results” phase. Your efforts might not look as flashy, but they still matter. It’s not about ignoring progress, it’s about not depending on it to keep going.
This is a mindset shift that can help you feel more connected and confident in your process, especially when you apply the inside/out approach. You’re not waiting for progress to prove your worth or validate your efforts. You’re staying aware, staying consistent, and staying open to learning and evolving at your own pace.
I’d love to hear your take on this idea and whether the “one percent better” mindset has helped or challenged you. Feel free to email me your thoughts or share your perspective. I’m always up for a conversation that helps us both grow.

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m breaking down the real reason consistency feels hard and how to make it easier by designing a plan that’s built around you. Forget the “just be disciplined” mindset. You don’t need to force yourself to follow a plan you don’t enjoy. Instead, I want you to see consistency as a skill you can develop over time by starting with your preferences.
When your eating plan is built around the foods you actually like, and your workouts fit your schedule and ability level, you’re much more likely to stick with them. You don’t need more willpower. You need a system you can follow without mental tug-of-war. That’s where the inside/out approach comes in. It starts with ownership, then leads to sustainability, and finally allows you to make changes as life changes.
We also touch on what it means to see yourself as a consistent person and why that identity shift matters. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be intentional and keep showing up in a way that works for you.
If you’re ready to stop relying on motivation and start becoming consistent for life, this one’s for you!

Episode Description:
If you're just finding Your Level Fitness or coming back to the message after some time away, this episode is the perfect starting point. I walk you through a key part of the inside/out approach that’s often misunderstood in the weight loss and fitness space. Everyone talks about building habits and focusing on what you can control... but they rarely talk about how much your mindset drives your actions and ultimately your results.
Your outcomes, like weight loss or body composition goals, are byproducts. You can use them as benchmarks, but you shouldn’t make them your focus. Why? Because you can’t control how fast results happen. What you can control are your daily actions and the mindset you bring to those actions. That’s what this episode is about.
I also dig into the importance of ownership, calmness, and deliberate effort. These are the qualities that allow you to take consistent action. And yes, consistency is a skill you can develop. We’ll keep talking about that in future episodes, but this one is a great foundation if you want to approach your health and fitness from a truly sustainable place.

Episode Description:
In this solo episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m walking you through one of the most foundational ideas in the entire YLF message... your life is your responsibility. That’s not meant to pressure you or push guilt on you. It’s meant to empower you. It’s the belief that no matter where you are in your journey, you can shift the direction of your life by focusing on what you can control and learning to let go of what you can’t.
I tie this message back to how we approach fitness, weight loss, and even day-to-day life decisions. If you’ve ever felt stuck or frustrated, coming back to this principle helps you reset. It’s not about perfect execution or figuring everything out. It’s about recognizing that you have the ability to take action in your own life.
We also touch on the idea of running your own race and developing your “Your Name” eating and exercise plans… because this journey truly is about you. You are the architect of your life, and the inside/out process is designed to help you trust your ability to build something sustainable and fulfilling.
Whether this is your first episode or you’ve been listening for a while, this one is a great place to reflect on the core values of the YLF approach.

Episode Description:
In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m diving into one of the most important foundations of the inside/out process… your mental approach. Whether you're just starting out or coming back to Your Level Fitness for a reset, this is where it all begins.
I talk about what it means to build a calm, deliberate mindset and how that headspace becomes the default you return to no matter what life throws at you. Instead of chasing motivation or grinding through chaos, you’ll learn how to observe, assess, and act from a place of clarity. This approach isn’t about being robotic or emotionless. It’s about preserving your energy, staying grounded, and doing the things you want to do without draining yourself.
If your goal is to develop consistent eating and exercise habits and eventually transfer those skills into every other area of your life, this is the mindset you need. We look beyond what people do and examine why they do it. Not everything that looks like success is rooted in peace. In fact, most people are stuck in their own mental loops… acting from fear, insecurity, or pressure to be enough.
My goal with this episode is to help you break that cycle. You can move with confidence, calm, and consistency. You don’t need to fight against your thoughts. You just need a steady place to return to… a way to re-center and keep moving forward with purpose.
Let this episode be your reminder that your mindset is what drives your success. Not the flashy routines. Not the non-stop hustle. It’s what’s going on in your own head that makes the difference. And the great news? You get to work on this every single day.

In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m walking you through what I call the “Your Name Exercise Program.” Just like we did with your eating plan, we’re starting with your preferences and building from there. This approach is about developing an active lifestyle that works for you long term by focusing on what you're willing and able to do right now. From strength training to cardio to stretching, we’re not chasing perfection, we’re building your foundation.
I share how I’ve shaped my own program over time while navigating physical challenges like cerebral palsy. I talk about how lifting became something I loved early on, how cardio has been a mixed bag depending on where my body was at, and how stretching made a comeback thanks to a little encouragement. I also explain how you can start wherever you are, even if it’s from a hospital bed or the floor of your living room.
This process isn’t about discipline. It’s about choosing movement that feels good and keeps you consistent over time. You’ll test, tweak, explore new activities, and build a lifestyle that evolves with you. When you lead from the inside/out, you build something sustainable and meaningful. This episode is a starting point to get you thinking about what your personal program could look like.
Let me know your thoughts and questions. I want to know where you are and how I can help.

EPISODE DESCRIPTION:
In this episode, I’m introducing a concept that will completely shift the way you think about food… it’s called the Your Name Eating Plan. This is a plan based entirely around your food preferences, your lifestyle, and what you’re willing and able to do right now. Nothing is off limits, and that’s exactly the point. You’re the architect of how you eat.
We talk through why trigger foods lose their power when they’re no longer off limits, how your preferences evolve with life, and why a sustainable eating approach includes observation before restriction. I also share my thoughts on food therapy, personal experiences with processed foods, and how to build a plan that adjusts as your life changes.
Whether you’re just getting started or restarting again, this episode will give you permission to build something that works for you… and to take your time doing it. Because when your name is on it, it finally becomes yours.

Episode Description
In this episode, I talk about one of my biggest pet peeves in the fitness space. Too many professionals are talking at you instead of with you. That kind of approach assumes they know your life better than you do... which they don’t.
You’ve been aware of your body for years. You’ve tried different workouts, eating plans, schedules... You’ve got experience. You’ve got preferences. You are the architect of your own active lifestyle. That’s the foundation of everything I share through Your Level Fitness and especially here on the podcast.
I want you to feel empowered to take full responsibility for your process, even when life throws stuff at you that’s outside your control. When you operate from that place of ownership, you find you can actually influence more than you thought.
Even if you choose to work with me, you’re still the architect. My role is to give context, tools, and perspective to help you build. But you’re in charge. You’re the expert on your life. That message gets drowned out by too many “shoulds” in this industry, and I’m here to help you take that power back.
Also... yes, I do go on a few tangents in this one. If that’s your thing, you’re going to love The Your Level Fitness Podcast.

Episode Description:
In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m walking you through a powerful reminder that your body is not a problem to be fixed. You are your own body standard. Not the media. Not the fitness industry. Not anyone else. Just you.
We’re talking about body image, but from a place that starts with acceptance. Even if loving your body feels out of reach right now, the first step is deciding to accept it. From there, we build toward appreciation, respect, and yes, even love. This mindset shift isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect, it’s about no longer tearing yourself down when you look in the mirror or try on clothes.
If you’ve been at this for years or decades and are still judging your body by someone else’s standards, this is your call to stop. Your body is unique. It’s worthy. It’s yours. In this episode, I give you tools to start rewriting your internal narrative. Daily mirror work, journaling, and time outdoors are just a few of the practices that will help you reconnect with yourself and reinforce your inside/out approach.
You’ve been told your body isn’t good enough for far too long. It’s time to stop playing that game. You get to decide how you view yourself now… and you get to build a sustainable mindset that honors the real you.
Let me know your thoughts by emailing me at [email protected]. I’d love to hear from you.
