Live Interview with Prem Dhoj Pradhan (Singer/Songwriter)

Prem Dhoj Pradhan is a Nepali singer, playback singer and composer. He is also known as the Golden Voice and King of Romantic Melodies of Nepal. Pradhan started singing at Radio Nepal in 1952 and sang his first song “Yad Kasaiko Aairahechechha Yo Aundheri Raatma”. Prem Dhoj is known for being the first to perform with a guitar in Nepal. He was also the first Nepali singer to sing with Indian playback singer Usha Mangeshkar for the movie Maitighar in 1965. In 1985, he sang duet songs with Asha Bhosle for the movie Mayalu in Bombay, India. Prem Dhoj has varied his musical style throughout his career and recorded approximately 700 songs on Radio Nepal, including live broadcasting and recorded songs. As a playback singer, he sang for numerous Nepali feature films such as Maitighar, JeevanRekha, Mayalu, Pachchis Basanta, Anayaya, Shantideep, Rajamati, Jeevan Sangharsha, and Pheri Vetaula, Badlido Aakash. He has won several honours and awards for this contribution towards the Nepali Music Industry.

Yoga, an ancient practice and meditation, derived from the Sanskrit root, has become increasingly popular in today's busy society. For many people, yoga provides a retreat from their chaotic and busy lives. Yoga develops inner awareness and brings the mind and body together. It incorporates breathing exercises, meditation and poses designed to encourage relaxation and reduce stress.

CEO and President of Yoga Ashram Japan, Founder Nirmal Yogi/ Nirmal Raj Gyawali, one of Nepal's most celebrated yoga gurus currently residing in Japan is actively advocating and disseminating aspects of yoga, not including asanas, to the western audiences. Nirmal entered the world of yoga at age 9 back in his homeland Nepal, where his grandfather had founded Arogya Ashram. He completed his diploma in Hatha Yoga and Naturopathy in 1993 and received a doctorate degree in 1998. Motivated by his keen interest in the Yogic Sciences, he joined the International School of the Yoga system, where he completed training in Yoga Asana, Ayurvedic Massage, and Organic Food Management. Previously taught at mellow beaute, IYC, Sun and Moon Yoga, and various other studios in Tokyo. Following the establishment of Yoga Ashram Japan in 2007, he opened Nirmal Yoga Studio in Shirokanedai to provide a sanctuary to those who seek a happy and stress-free life. The Studio provides Ayurvedic Practice as well as Nirmal Yoga classes and teacher training.

He introduces yoga to be a happy by mitigating the negative feeling, concentrating on the love towards yourself and by regaining brilliance from the inside so that one can truly believe in their own beauty both internally and externally. He accommodates to the lifestyle of modern people today, such as smoother skin, circulation of blood and hormone adjustment, as well as incorporating a way of breathing that can bring out the inner beauty of a person.

Opening a yoga studio and publishing a book called “Pretty Face Yoga”, Nirmal is striving to spread his own activities.

Nepali Cinema Industry has gifted us with some exceptional filmmaker and screenwriter, all coming from different backgrounds and different regions. When it comes to making films close to reality & the dark side of the society, Tsering Rhitar Sherpa is the man and is undoubtedly one of the best talents in the Nepali industry. His contemporary style of filmmaking may not be everyone's cup of tea and yet his narrating style is very unique & different.

His first film, Mukundo: Mask of Desire, about a traditional woman healer who had killed a female patient was Nepal's official entry for Oscars. His second feature "Karma", about two Buddhist nuns’ journey from the Mustang region was shown at the San Francisco International Film Festival, Fukuoka International Film Festival (Japan), Tokyo International Film Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival (Canada), Goteberg International Film Festival (Sweden) and Fribourg International Film Festival (Switzerland). He made various documentary films, including "Tears of Torture" in 1994, a 27-minute documentary about a Tibetan nun traveling through the Himalayan mountain passes to escape Tibet. Tsering Rhitar Sherpa continues to make documentary and feature films with the production company Mila Productions.

She also accomplished the titles of Miss Personality, Miss Intellectual and Gosh Girl in Miss Nepal 2015. She received the coveted pageant crown from Miss Nepal 2014 Subin Limbu. She had also received Dean's Excellence Award in Marketing 2014 and the International Student of the Year Award 2014 (Nada Vujica Memorial Award (Recognition on Internationalizing the campus), Centre for Global Education &Diversity) from Wilkes University, PA. Nor only does she have charming and attractive features, but she is also a social activist and the Biodiversity Conservation Ambassador at National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), Nepal. She is the ambassador for Mentrual Hygiene Nepal and other social activities.

She represented Nepal in Miss World 2015 as she got selected for Top 7 Beauty with a Purpose, Top 5 Beauty with a Purpose.

He played the role of rescue pilot Col. Madan KC. Vijaya Lama also participated as a solo singer in Melancholy song by 365 Nepali Artists which set the Guinness World Record for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording" and has already released four albums so far.
