Brushy Mountain Penitentiary was a maximum-security prison that operated from 1896 to 2009, housing some of the most dangerous criminals, including James Earl Ray, the assassin of Martin Luther King, Jr. Surrounded by rugged mountains, it was notorious for its harsh conditions and violent history - now, it's notorious for its ghosts.
